First impression after driving out of the mild weather in California. Reminder this is a desert! Never been here and it’s such a unique experience- crowded, loud, and HOT! 🥵
Two days then off to a string of national parks.

If I lived in LA I’d go to The Comedy Store at least 3 times a week. Every night they have numerous comedians perform 15 minute sets back to back. Some comedians you’ll recognize and some are still making their way up the ranks. Either way, you KNOW it’s going to be hilarious! Thanks for the great time, big laughs and yes, Rick Ingraham we agree, we did look like Weezer, a much much gayer version.

When you are looking for a lunch spot and realize you just passed a legendary place you stop! And lunch. Or, almuerzo. Whatever. 🤤 we’re always down for Mexican food.
We opted for the bright and open patio over the sultry inside, but Lottie could join us if we did. Great food, especially the ceviche served in a half coconut (some of which we dug out and ate 🥥 🙄) and spinach enchiladas.

We came to West Hollywood and Los Angeles in March and happened to walk into Saltie Girl for dinner one night. We’re always drawn to seafood, especially an oyster bar, and it looked like a great spot. It was! All the choices on the raw bar were great, but the stand out, the big surprise, was the red snapper crudo. Thai chili, yuzu, togarashi, crunchy fried shallots - sweet, spicy, sour. We had to come back, and yes, just as good again!
Plus a seafood tower, marinaded Persian cucumbers, and grilled artichoke. Just an outstanding dinner. Plus super cute sidewalk cafe seating 😊

Nothing on earth like it. Some trees big enough to drive through. Trees so old they were around while the pyramids were built. Trees that have withstood forest fires and floods. Though we’ve tried to show the scale of these giants, nothing will ever come close to walking underneath them. Giant sequoias yall.
