Chilly Day Quilting A long-arm quilting company that puts warmth into every stitch

Video two of Chilly Day Quilting sewing studio build💙
Sorry it took awhile to get the outside photos of my quilt shop put together.
This has been a labor of love for sure.
We had a contractor build it for us from the start with concrete slab, stick built construction, foam insulation, drywall, and electrical.

My amazing youngest son laid all the LVP flooring for me, I painted the inside walls, and all the outside siding as well. That was a chore let me tell you.
All good things come with hard work and dedication, and a little love.

My husband would tell you it’s because I don’t like to sit still much, always needing my hands busy. 😍😍

It was completed January 2026 to a point we could then start bringing in all the quilting goodies. That will come in video 3 so stay tuned.

I was able to get the landscaping completed this summer, with sidewalk poured, river rock and some landscape plantings that deer will not eat. 😩

More to come💙 Chilly Day Quilting

Memory Quilt made for a customer that my husband and I have known for many years. The families rock, their father, passed away, and Lola wanted a quilt made out of all his shirts.
Taking on this task is always such an emotional one for me. The trust it takes to let me cut special articles of clothing that the loved one once wore, that they were seen in sometimes daily, is sometimes a hard task. For me and the customer. I take such care in cutting and placing these items, because you truly just get one shot at it.
I so wanted this to have so much meaning for the family, but yet be cozy so they can wrap themselves up in it.
A giant hug of sorts💙
This 90x103 is one big bear hug.

I used the color Slate, thread with a bubble E2E quilt pattern on my Bernina Q24. I used a Cuddle black fabric for the backing to keep it soft.

I cannot wait for the family to hold this sweet quilt💙🩷💙

Look at how Priscilla hit this quilt out of the park. She has dabbled in sewing, and is teaching herself to quilt, but can I just say WOW, what a beautiful job she did.

Color selection can be the hardest part, and she nailed it.

Thank you for trusting me with the project.

Salmon colored Gilde thread with a loops and leaves E2E pattern.
I wanted to soften the stars a bit and add a little color to her cream flannel backing. She wanted to add a little color as well, overall it was a great choice.

So a little peek into the building of my quilt studio and the beginning of Chilly Day Quilting in the Chaseburg, WI location.
So my business originated in Chili, WI where I was born and raised. A job change for my husband brought us to Chaseburg which meant a new studio was going to need to be built to house my Bernina Q24 longarm quilting machine.
So once settled into our new home, our new jobs, and a new city the building process began.
This is just a little look into the beginning of the build, the rest will follow as the construction process continued.
So stay tuned to Chilly Day Quilting for the full tour.

Oh my goodness, this beauty of a sampler quilt was done by my good friend Bernie. This is her very first quilt, can I just tell you how amazing of a job she did. Blew me away, she is addicted now, the sewing bug has hit.
I used a taupe Glide thread with an Asian mosaic E2E quilting design.
I feel it really complements the primitive fabric line she used.
Thank you Bernie for trusting me with your first quilt. It’s beautiful. 💙🩵🧵💙🩵

All those sneak peeks lead to this right here. It turned out so heavy and so soft. This graduate will be covered in love with this memory quilt💙🩵💙
Navy blue Glide thread with a flower and swirl E2E quilt pattern, which I’m in love with.
I used a soft minky backing that gives this such a usable cuddle friendly feeling. A warm hug while away at college.

Switched it up a bit today, and decided to do some cross stitch finishing. All the items I used to finish the projects besides the ribbons and bows was 2.99 each at Goodwill. Can’t beat that for cute finishes. I will not buy full price for frames. So this is what you get with a little imagination💙🧵💙

Have a great day everyone.

The cutting process has begun for another graduation quilt. These are just so fun to put together. A big puzzle, and there are never two alike.

Get those kids hard work and memories put into something they can use. It sure beats collecting dust on hangers or in a box in the closet.

This will be a smaller quilt, the recipient wants to use it to cuddle in at college. So I will be using a minky type cuddle fabric for the back of it. It will be so cozy.

Results in a few days.
Have a terrific day doing something you love💙🩵🧵🩵💙
