Earlier this week, I spent the afternoon leading a custom workshop for a group of 5th graders selected to serve as Student Ambassadors at a local elementary school.

These students will welcome visitors, assist at special events, and help with school tours. Their principal wanted to make sure they had the manners, communication skills, and social confidence to represent their school well.

We covered everything from confident introductions and eye contact to remembering names, making conversation, and the simple courtesies that leave a lasting impression.

Before we wrapped up, I shared one of my favorite quotes with the students because it captures the heart of everything I teach:

"I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel."
