NativeMade Adam Tetzlaff here, founder of NativeMade. I started NativeMade back in 2016 as a passion project to To me that means something.

I started NativeMade back in 2016 as a passion project to showcase why I fell in love with Chattanooga. Every design I create or collaborate on is a reflection of my time spent here in this beautiful city. Although I wasn’t born in Chattanooga, I chose to make it my home. It means that when you immerse yourself in the place where you live you become a local. Along with me you decided to become NativeMade. All of our products are designed and printed in the USA. We value the durability and comfort of our shirts, so we only print them on the highest quality of fabrics. Although we currently draw our inspiration from our home town of Chattanooga, TN, we strive to gain inspiration from the places we visit and locals we meet. We hope to someday represent cities all over the country. If you have some ideas of places we should visit here in Chattanooga or elsewhere, send us an email at [email protected], and we might end up creating a design for you.

There is just something about making things by hand. Yeah it takes a little more effort but the feeling you get afterwards is worth it. Love how these hang tags turned out.

The horrible traffic. The two-hour wait at P.F. Chang's. That one light that's only long enough for 2 cars. The unbearable number of options. That one questionable buffet you knew you shouldn't risk. You did anyway. And now here you are, dealing with the consequences.

You know the place. It's the scariest place on earth.

There's a spaceship on Signal Mountain? It's been there since the '70s, and if you grew up here, you know it well. It's weird, but it's also ours (kinda, like we don't own it but we OWN it if you know what I mean. Whatever.) Still standing strong, still inviting us to smile every time we drive by. Someone had an idea and they said "why not?" That's why it inspires us. Be weird. Do more things just because. You never know. It might just become a local treasure.

Today is World Su***de Prevention Day.

We spend this month telling each other to check in, to notice, to reach out. And you should. But here's the part that gets left out.

If you've already lost someone, and you're carrying the weight of what you didn't see, it's not your fault.

And if you're the one hurting and hiding right now, please, get help. There are people who love you and care about you. They may just not be able to see how much you're hurting. Let them.
