Mother of the Groom, but make it custom. ✨

This gorgeous deep wine gown was created with a timeless, elegant silhouette — a wide boat neckline, fitted bodice, defined waist belt, and a dramatic full-circle skirt that gives it the most beautiful movement.

And of course… IT HAS POCKETS! 🙌🏼 Because every formal gown is better with pockets. 😂

I love how classic and sophisticated this design turned out while still making a statement. There’s just something extra special about creating a gown specifically for someone and watching the vision come to life. ❤️

Before & after! 🍋✨

This dress originally had wide, straight straps, but my client wanted something thinner and adjustable. I completely reconstructed the straps, added extensions, created buttonholes, and handmade matching fabric-covered buttons so the straps can be worn in an adjustable crisscross design.

I also opened the side seams and took the dress in beneath the arms for a better fit. What looks like a simple change required quite a bit of reconstruction—but the finished back is absolutely adorable! 💛

Brides, please carefully vet the person you trust with your wedding gown. Ask to see close-up photos of completed work—not just full-length pictures taken from a distance.

Proper bridal alterations should lie smoothly, have straight and secure closures, and look professionally finished both inside and out. Your gown is far too important—and often too difficult to replace—for the workmanship to be an afterthought.

This is not intended to bash anyone or tear down another person’s work. My goal is simply to help brides recognize quality workmanship and make an informed decision when choosing someone to alter one of the most meaningful garments they’ll ever wear.

It’s all in the details! 🤍

This bridal gown originally had rigid, non-stretch button loops that made the buttons difficult to fasten. I carefully removed them and replaced them with elastic loops, giving the bride more flexibility and making the gown much easier to button—without changing its beautiful original look.

✨ Before & After Transformation ✨

This bride came to me with a gown she absolutely loved, but it was just a little too snug through the bodice. Rather than compromising the design, I was able to make the gown fit beautifully while preserving its original elegance.

For this alteration I:
🤍 Let out the side seams to create a more comfortable, flattering fit.
🤍 Carefully removed and reapplied lace appliqués to seamlessly blend with the original design.
🤍 Added a custom bustle so she can easily move, dance, and enjoy every moment of her wedding day.

One of the things I love most about bridal alterations is that every gown presents a unique challenge. The goal is never just to make a dress bigger or smaller—it’s to make it look like it was always meant to fit that way. Taking the time to preserve the lace pattern and hand-place each appliqué makes all the difference in the finished result.

Seeing a bride leave feeling comfortable, confident, and excited for her wedding day is why I love what I do. ❤️

It was such an honor to create this beautiful gown for a very special mother as she prepares to celebrate her daughter’s wedding day. 💕

This dress was custom designed and handcrafted from the ground up, featuring:
💗 A rich fuchsia satin skirt
✨ Hand-applied sequin lace detailing
🌸 Soft chiffon bishop sleeves
🎀 A flattering waist sash
🧵 Fully lined with a custom fit made just for her

Every stitch was sewn with care to create a gown that is elegant, timeless, and comfortable enough to enjoy one of life’s most memorable days.

There is something incredibly special about making a dress for someone who has spent a lifetime loving and supporting the bride. I can’t wait to see this gown come to life on the wedding day!

Client needed a few finishing touches to her gown before her special day, and one of those was adding a bustle. ✨

This gown received a 3-point American bustle with secure buttons and loops, allowing the train to be beautifully lifted for the reception while still maintaining the elegance of the gown.

Functional, secure, and designed to blend seamlessly into the dress so she can dance the night away! 🤍💍
