There is no age limit on sparkle. And there are no rules about who gets to wear it. ✨

One of my favorite moments at Waterville today wasn't even about glitter. It was a question.

A little boy looked at me and asked, "Can boys do glitter?"

I smiled and said, "Of course! Boys, girls... everyone can wear glitter. Pick any color you love. There aren't boy colors or girl colors. Glitter is for everybody."

A little later, I looked around my booth and smiled. One moment it was full of kids showing off their glitter with giant grins. The next, it was grown women laughing, hugging, and proudly wearing theirs too.

It reminded me why I love doing this.

Over the years I've decorated tiny toddlers, teenagers, moms, dads, grandparents, and even the occasional old cowboy who's decided a little sparkle sounded like fun.

Every single time, the smile is exactly the same.

Maybe glitter isn't really about glitter.

Maybe it's about giving ourselves permission to play, to be colorful, to stop worrying about what we're "supposed" to like, and to enjoy a little magic.
