You probably think your closet is worth less than it actually is.

And honestly? You’re not alone.

After visiting 130+ resale and consignment shops in person, I kept seeing the same thing: women would guess what their closet was worth, and almost every time, they’d guess low.

Not because they’d made bad purchases. Not because there was nothing valuable left in the wardrobe.

We just tend to count what we wear.

The five things on rotation. The pieces we reach for without thinking.

We forget the wool coat at the back. The boots from two winters ago. The dress we wore once. The structured pieces we bought years ago that still have plenty of life (and value) left in them.

And then there’s the slightly uncomfortable part…

Guessing high can feel like admitting we spent too much. So we round down to a number that feels more sensible.

But that isn't really a valuation. It’s self-consciousness doing maths.

Your closet has value. You just may never have been shown how to see it.

That’s not a flaw in how you shop. It’s simply something most of us were never taught.

So if you’ve ever looked at your wardrobe and thought, “Surely this isn’t worth much…”

You’re in the right company. 🤍

Let’s figure it out together.

Early Bird has closed but we've got something better for anyone still deciding. 💚

There's a 2-for-1 on the Closet-to-Cash Workshop.
Bring someone and it works out at $22.65 each.🌺

We didn't add this as a discount. We added it because closet clean-outs are genuinely better with a second person. You know the item you keep putting back in the wardrobe "just in case"? You will not part with it on your own. She will make you!🤭

On the night you'll each bring three things you've been avoiding, and you'll leave with those three assessed, a price for each, a platform matched to how much effort you want to spend, and a plan to get to your first HUNDREDS!🤩

Thursday, August 20
6:00 – 7:15 PM CT
60 minutes of teaching, 15 minutes of live Q&A

RSVP now. Bring someone! 😉

If something isn't selling, the first thing most of us do is drop the price, right?

Worth checking the view count before you do, because "it didn't sell" is actually two different problems and they need opposite fixes.🤔

If hardly anyone has viewed it, that isn't a pricing problem. Nobody found it. The title's off, or it's something people aren't searching for this month.
Dropping the price does nothing here, because there's no one standing there to notice you dropped it.

If plenty of people have viewed it and nobody's offered, that's the opposite.
They found it, looked properly, and said no.
Now it's the price, or it's the photos. This is the one where coming down actually moves something.

It's a small thing, but it's the difference between marking down a listing nobody's even seen and fixing the thing that's actually wrong.

Check the views first. It costs nothing!

Save this for later and follow for more tips!

I could have built a place to sell your clothes instead I built a place to learn what they're worth...

There are already dozens of marketplaces. Poshmark, eBay, Vestiaire, The RealReal, every local consignment store with a good eye. They work. That problem is solved.

What isn't solved is the part before it
Standing in front of a closet with no idea which three things to start with, what to ask for them, or where they belong.

ReBloom doesn't buy, sell, or list anything.
We teach the system. That's the whole business.

If you've been meaning to start and haven't, it's probably not because you're disorganised. It's because nobody showed you the order to do it in.

Join us in our Closet-to-Cash Workshop, August 20, where we teach you EXACTLY that💚

Every community has a first room. This is ours.

On August 20 we're running the first ever Closet-to-Cash Workshop and work with our founding cohort💚

Here's what that actually means, because we'd rather be plain about it than clever.🧐

We've spent the last several months running free sessions on circular fashion and resale and in all THIRTEEN of them, what kept surfacing in the Q&A wasn't curiosity about whether secondhand clothing has value (everyone already knew that!) IT WAS THE PRACTICAL PART →
→ Which items? What price? Which platform? What to do when something doesn't sell?

Our Closet-to-Cash workshop is built entirely around the doing and figuring out exactly THAT.🤩

Just 75 minutes!!
Sixty filled with value and knowledge plus fifteen for a live Q&A so we get to understand it a bit better😉 Bring three things from your closet you've been avoiding, and leave with a resale action plan you wrote yourself: those three items assessed, a price for each, a platform matched to how much effort you genuinely want to spend, and a roadmap to your first HUNDREDS.

The founding cohort matters for one reason. You're not just attending the first one, you're deciding and building on what next phase we'll be blooming in is! 🤩🌺

Thursday, August 20
6:00 PM CST / 7:00 PM EST
Early Bird $29 through August 13, then $39
(our bring a friend promo is still up and running too!)

Registration link below. If you have questions about whether it's right for you, ask in the comments! We read all of them.💚🌺

NOBODY checks the label first.

After visiting more than 120 resale, consignment and vintage businesses, I can tell you the sort order almost never changes: condition, fabric, construction, silhouette. The brand comes last, and by then it's usually just confirming what they already decided.

Most of us do it backwards. We sort our closets by label, then wonder why the "valuable" pile doesn't sell.

Try it the other way this week:
1. Check the item's condition first! A stain, a hole, a broken zip. It's the one thing a buyer can't undo — and the one thing that ends the conversation.
2. Check the fabric. Wool, cotton, silk, linen, leather. Turn it inside out and read the tag. Natural fibers hold shape, and shape is what holds value.
3. What about construction? Lined or unlined. Real buttons or plastic. Finished seams or raw. This is where quality lives, and it takes four seconds to check.
4. The fit. Shape dates a piece faster than a logo ever will. A good cut from 1995 still reads as a good cut.
5. Lastly, the tag! Not because it doesn't matter. Because by the time you've checked the other four, you already know what you're holding.

You've been sorting by brand. Sort by condition and fabric instead! The keep pile and the sell pile swap places almost immediately. 🫨

Don't know where to start? Then come do it properly with us — Closet-to-Cash, August 20.

Wanting to shop ethically and knowing how to are two different problems.

We hear the second one constantly. Not from people who don't care but from people who care a lot and can't find a starting point that isn't either a lecture or an impossible list.

This is Lora LaPratt from our Closet AS Culture series, on where to actually begin.

If you've been meaning to shop differently and haven't managed it yet, this one's for you. And if you've found something that works, tell us in the comments!
