Security Cameras at Dorcas

Due to the ongoing problem of theft of our donations at Dorcas depot, we have installed security cameras. We are hoping this will help solve the problem, along with bringing your donations on days we are open (Wed. & Sat.) so we can move the items inside.

We also want to bring to your attention the list we have posted at the store, of the items we cannot accept. Thank you for your cooperation.

We are very grateful to all our generous donators and our faithful shoppers. We couldn’t do it without you all. Thanks so much.

Dorcas Depot is a volunteer-run secondhand store sponsored by Christmas Valley Community Church. We offer mostly clothing, along with a variety of household items. Our prices are hard to beat — especially during our popular $1 bag sales. All proceeds from Dorcas Depot go directly back into the community for emergency needs.

We truly enjoy serving our community in this way and are deeply grateful for the donors and volunteers who make this ministry possible.

In recent months, however, we have experienced an increase in theft of donated items that were left outside the building after hours. Many donations have been taken before volunteers were able to bring them inside.

There is a solution to this problem; we kindly ask that all donations be dropped off only during store hours: Wednesdays and Saturdays from 12:00–4:00 PM. Bringing donations while we are open ensures they can be received safely and put to good use in our community.

We appreciate your understanding and your continued support of Dorcas Depot.

We will be open tomorrow, December 31st and will be having a DOLLAR BAG DAY!! Our hours are 12-4:00.
