For the past few weeks, I’ve been quietly watching a tiny hummingbird nest outside my window.
I witnessed the mama hummingbird building the nest, caring for her babies, feeding them, and slowly preparing them for flight.
When I slowed down enough to notice these small moments, they ended up meaning more to me than I expected.
I didn’t capture the babies flying away on video, but I was lucky enough to witness the second baby take flight in real life — a moment I’ll never forget.
Watching this tiny hummingbird family reminded me to pause, slow down, and appreciate the small moments I might have otherwise missed.
