It's been a busy few months, but I finally had the chance to catch up on some quilting projects.

I spent last weekend behind the longarm, getting one quilt quilted and ready for the next step. Now it's off to binding—the part that always makes it feel like a finished quilt is finally coming together.

It's nice to make a little progress on the projects that have been patiently waiting their turn.

Oops, I did it again—I even heard the song, and I don’t even listen to Britney!
I told myself no new quilts until I finished a few… but I have six waiting to be long-armed, and at one point I was up to 59 once I found a few hiding around. I’ve worked it down to 13, so I figured I deserved a little reward.
In my defense, none of them were appliqué quilts, so clearly I had to start one so I could work on that style of quilting… right? 😄

Normally, when I create T-shirt blankets, they’re for graduations or made from baby clothing — special milestones filled with excitement and new beginnings. Over the past year, though, many of them have taken on a deeper meaning. They’ve become memorial blankets.

I finished my latest one yesterday. This one was made for a husband.

I wanted it to be different — to still hold the fabric and the memories, but also to feel comforting in a way that allows space for healing. Something that carries love and history, while also offering a sense of style, warmth, and peace as he moves forward.
Each blanket tells a story. This one carries a lifetime.

All three blankets are complete and ready for delivery next week — each backed in her loved ones’ favorite colors: yellow, orange, and purple. Same yet so different, each one is special. These blankets are all designed for smiles and great memories, and some even have hidden messages from heaven included. Time to snuggle on the couch and enjoy cozy moments together!

Your clothing is so you. As I created these, I could just see you in your favorite Asian-style pants, the scarves you loved to wear, your animal prints, tie-dyed pieces, and your colorful workout clothing. Remember the time you purchased the wrong Florida University T-shirt and kept wearing it anyway because it was bought and paid for? We included that too.

So much of you can be seen and remembered just by looking at your clothing.

One more blanket, with a slightly different style, is coming soon.
