Maybe the biggest glow-up isn’t becoming someone new.

Maybe it’s finally recognizing all the versions of yourself you’ve outgrown.

The girl who thought being a solo mom meant something was missing.

The girl who accepted the bare minimum and tried to call it love.

The girl who kept the door open for people who disappeared when life became messy.

The girl who let other people convince her that her ADHD was everything except ADHD.

The girl who built her identity around her business, made herself smaller to keep the peace and believed starting over meant failing.

I don’t hate any of those girls.

They were surviving with what they knew. They carried me here.

But at 40, I know something now:

I am resourceful.
I can rebuild.
I can ask the hard questions.
I can advocate fiercely for my son.
I can release what GOD is pruning.
And I can trust His protection over what I cannot control.

Still planted.
Still growing.
Still flourishing forward. 🌱✝️

Which version of yourself are you realizing you’re not anymore?

If you missed my morning Instagram spiral… here it is for you 😂

It started with asking if you wanted to come along for my garage clean-out journey, detoured into Fetch during my morning adult admin, and somehow ended with the realization that I apparently cannot function unless I have sneakers on.

Fueled by my Nike’s, V8 Energy, and a little Crayolahealing courtesy of Calvin. 🩹✨

September 11th. 🇺🇸

I still remember where I was when the world seemed to stop.

So many of us do.

Today is a day to remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, the first responders and heroes who ran toward danger, and all those who still carry the weight of that day.

As Calvin grows, I want to pass on a love for our country that is rooted in gratitude — gratitude for freedom, for service, for sacrifice, and for the people who have given so much for others.

Today we remember. We honor. We pray for those still affected. And we’re grateful for the country we get to call home. ❤️🤍💙

Never forget.

If you remember where you were that day, share it below. I think there is something powerful about continuing to tell the stories and remembering together. 🇺🇸

Sorry for not keeping in touch lately.
Been busy rebranding this chapter of my life. 😂

A lot of this season has looked like learning how to live a little differently.

For a long time, I got very good at just getting through the days. Now I’m better at actually enjoying them.

As a solo mama, that looked like juggling my business, motherhood, home, finances, big decisions, little joys, and approximately 37 thoughts at once. 😅

I’m still figuring things out in real time. I’m still rebuilding. And I’m learning to give myself grace when progress looks quieter than I expected.

Sometimes progress is a big decision.
Sometimes it’s listing one more item.
Sometimes it’s making dinner, playing with my little boy, answering the email, and trying again tomorrow.

I’m not becoming someone new so much as finding my way back to who I was.

Not becoming someone completely new.
Just finding my way back to the parts of me that got quieter for a while — and letting them be seen again. 🌸

Rebuilding. Growing. Having fun. Raising my boy. Becoming.

Grace appreciated. Humor required. 🍴

I used to think a productive day was measured by how much I crossed off the list.

I’m learning there are other ways to measure a really good day. 🤍

Did we laugh?
Did we make a memory?
Was I present?
Did he feel loved?
Did we have FUN?

The to-do list will refill itself tomorrow. Somehow, it always does. 😂

But I only get this version of him once.

He’s 4½ now, and six months from today I’ll have a FIVE year old—which feels completely impossible. 🥹

So no, I don’t have to make everything fun.

But while he still thinks dancing with Mama, an afternoon at the pool, cutting veggies together and our completely random little adventures are the greatest things ever…

I think we’ll have the fun. 🌸

This season counts, too.

🍴 Keep your fork. The best is yet

Today didn’t look quite like I planned.

The motivation wasn’t exactly motivating 🤦🏼‍♀️, so I adjusted the goal instead of abandoning it.

Today’s version of flourishing looked a little quieter: sitting at my computer, getting more items listed, checking a few things off the list + reminding myself that forward is still forward—even when it’s slower than I wanted. 🌸

And considering I literally stopped to help a turtle cross the road this week… maybe I should take the hint. 🐢😂

Keep going. Keep your fork. 🍴
