Fuel prices made me wince this morning 😬⛽️, but off we went!

Today was one of those real-life days behind Aloha Buckaroo Boutique. I fueled up the flatbed, with my special-needs sister along and we headed to the airport for a whirlwind trip to take her back to Mom in Montana and me back to Arizona —all in one day. ✈️❤️

Running a small business isn't just inventory, photos, and events. It's family, ranch life, long drives, unexpected adventures, and making memories with the people who matter most.

Today's boutique office looked a little different, but I wouldn't have traded it for anything. ❤️

What did you do today? PS These super cute ba****ck pin tuck Risen jeans are live on the website and so is this top!

Tonight was a good reminder to trust your instincts.

I was down in the stock dog arena when I noticed Helga, momma to little Seven, acting colicky. At first the signs were subtle, but I knew she wasn't herself. I monitored her closely, gave Colic-Eaz and Banamine, and spent the next several hours walking her, watching every move she made, hoping she would work through whatever was bothering her.

There were moments where she seemed better, then she'd want to lie down again. Thankfully, I decided to call the vet rather than wait until morning.

After examining Helga, my friend and veterinarian Dr. Adriana Stinnett determined she was suffering from a dry colic and was extremely dehydrated. She ended up tubing her with electrolytes and fluids to help rehydrate her system and get things moving again, and giving her medication to dispel all the gas she had built up.

Looking back, if I had decided to wait until morning, the outcome could have been very different.

A huge thank you to Dr. Adriana Stinnett, DVM, for answering the call and coming out to take care of our girl. And a special thank you to my husband over the phone and daughter Hannah for being there for moral support when I needed it most. (Hubby is gone on the mountain receiving yearlings today)

Trust your instincts. Sometimes the smallest change in behavior is your horse's way of telling you something is wrong. ❤️🐴

Yesterday was Seven’s first time wearing a halter and lead rope… and this little guy continues to impress me. 🤍

What I love most is how willing he is to try. Hardly any fight, just a thoughtful little mind working through new things. He calmly followed along behind me and seemed to really think through what I was asking. We also started introducing a little feel on the halter, gently pulling side to side, and he’s already beginning to softly yield and search for the pressure release.

At the same time, he is definitely showing me his personality. He’s incredibly friendly, curious, and bold… maybe even a little too friendly at times. 😅 He has moments where he wants to treat me more like a pasture buddy or sibling, pushing those playful boundaries a bit, and I know if I don’t help shape that now it could become a problem later on.

So lately I’ve been trying to be a little more intentional and balanced with him. Less constant handling, more quiet consistency. A quick pat, a rub on the neck, then I walk away. I want him confident and trusting… but also respectful and thoughtful.

What I do love is that he willingly walks up to me, lets me touch him all over, and doesn’t get spooky or immediately run back to his mom. Day 19 yesterday, and he already seems to be an incredibly quick learner with such a willing attitude.

I’m sure I’m not doing everything perfectly, but I’m trying hard to give him a solid foundation now in hopes that the “end game” down the road is a good-minded, confident, respectful horse. Watching their little brains develop day by day is honestly one of my favorite things. 🐴

Cow Camp life lately 🤠🌲

Got the camper cleaned up, taco meat going in the crockpot, and spent the day watching Silas out riding fences in the allotment on the creeper app 😂 . He covered 12 miles of fence line today fixing and checking country. 🐴 I have my special needs sister so I am not able to help ride until next month.

Now the sun’s going down, dinner’s cooking, wine is poured, and we’re settling in with old westerns. These mountain ranch evenings sure feel good after a long day’s work. 🍷✨ Back home tomorrow night!

Seven is 16 days old today and absolutely thriving in the big paddock life. 🐴🖤

He spends his days checking out Franklin the mini bull, watching the sheep come visit the fence, running giant zoomie laps, and investigating every corner like it’s his full-time job. 😂

This c**t is incredibly curious and confident. The more room, stimulation, and “big world” exposure he gets, the happier he seems to be. He doesn’t miss much and always wants to know what everyone else is doing.

And maybe my favorite part so far… the other night when I left the pen, he knickered at me and trotted the fence line upset I was leaving. 🥹

Safe to say little 007 is turning into quite the personality already. 🤠

Made it to cow camp. ⛰️🐴🐾

Spent the day pulling into the allotment, deep cleaning the camper, and getting everything set up for the summer ahead. My husband would probably be perfectly happy throwing up a teepee and calling it good 😂 but I love the little comforts of home… even way up on the mountain. So yes, I’m making cow camp pretty.

Honestly though, feeling really thankful. The ranch set us up with a nice camper for the season and we’ll be calling this place home 5 days a week while heading back home 2 days a week to balance dogs, ranching, Aloha Buckaroo, clients, and this life we’re building together.

Dogs in the box. Horses in the trailer. Mountain air and a whole lot of purpose ahead of us. Big Circle Livestock summer headquarters is officially open. 🤠🖤

✨ Double O Seven • 8 days old ✨

So far this little c**t has already decided the world is pretty interesting. 🤎

In just his first week we’ve been keeping things simple, quiet, and confidence-building:
• halter on for a few seconds at a time
• plastic bag rubbed all over
• umbrella exposure
• lead rope touching all over his body
• picking up all 4 feet
• following mom and me down to the big arena for bigger zoomies
• loading himself in the trailer beside Helga
• and his favorite… walking over just to say hello 🐴

We also moved our older gelding into the “buffer pen” next door so Seven can slowly start getting familiar with what will likely become his babysitter buddy come weaning time. Little exposures like that now tend to make big transitions easier later.

Nothing forced. Nothing rushed. Just letting him learn that people are safe, curiosity is rewarded, and new things don’t have to be scary.

Double O Seven is already showing us a c**t that’s bold, thoughtful, independent, and still incredibly kind. We’re pretty excited about this one. ✨

These western embroidered pony blouses arrived today and I am genuinely impressed with them in person ❤️

The soft gingham, subtle puff sleeve, and beautiful embroidered western yoke give them such a refined vintage cowgirl feel — feminine without being overly trendy.

They feel like the kind of blouse that pairs effortlessly with good denim, silver pearls, a worn leather belt, and a straw hat on a summer evening.

Classic western styling with just enough detail to stand apart quietly.

These are in stock and ready to ship out today ✨

OK this one just landed TODAY and I’m already obsessed ❤️🤠

This red cowboy blouse is such a fun statement piece without losing that classic western feel. The vintage cowboy print, puff sleeves, and bold red color are even better in person.

I love that it can go:
✨ tucked into denim
✨ layered under a vest
✨ dressed up with turquoise and silver pearls
✨ or worn casual with boot crops and boots

It has that “rodeo queen meets vintage western postcard” feel that just stands out.

AND the best part — these are physically here and ready to ship out TODAY if you fall in love with one ❤️
