Our Story

I began working with stones in 2013 after purchasing a few lovely pieces at a fair. At the time, I wasn’t sure what I would do with them. Being that I am a knitter and crocheter and make myself many scarves and shawls, I thought that these stones might look nice as a “closure” for these garments. Having previously owned a yarn shop and selling many types of shawl pins gave me this idea. But how to use them was my question. I then remembered that I had once bought a little angel magnet brooch and thought that perhaps magnets would be a good way to wear these stone “pins”. After many trial and error sessions I have come up with a nice strong magnet combination. I started with simple stones and over time I have discovered the beauty of agates, thundereggs, jaspers, crystals and fossils. I enjoy transforming a plain stone by adding a variety of metal “toppers” or drilling holes for wire wrapping. Many stones have so much natural beauty that they are left as is. I call these Mother Nature’s paintings. These “pins” can be worn as just that or as a closure for your garments or even to adorn a hat.
