Wow, I don’t know about you, but it seems like this season has just whizzed by!! I didn’t want to post this until my daughter-in-law had received it, and then I’ve been so busy since then continuing to pack and and take care of a lot of other arrangements for our upcoming cross country move that I forgot to post this😳. This black floral fabric from was so fun making bias tape for this crossover apron and I was able to gift it to her just in time for all the fun holiday baking activities!☺️.

With an overcast day, and getting all of the transplants done in the garden yesterday and hubby out on a hiking trip with our son I thought I’d take a day off from packing and try to get some sewing done today.

Binding. Binding for our quilts, binding on clothes.. how does one make their own binding?
This is something that really used to intimidate me!! Once you get the hang of it though it’s pretty easy.
Yes, you can buy binding in a store but I find the quality isn’t as good and the selection definitely isn’t. Sometimes you have that project where you just need that special color or print that you just can’t find unless you do it yourself.

When I’m looking for a special one and I don’t wanna make it myself I always go to , she has some amazing binding prints and can even make custom ones for you if you’re willing to buy the fabric for her to do it!!

Then there are those times where it really calls for you finding just that right fabric and doing it yourself like I am today. 😊

Yes it is quilting but it’s not a quilt! Can anyone guess what it will be?😉
