Okayyy these consignment pieces were SCREAMING for a little cottagecore moment. 🪿🩵🌼

Because sometimes it’s not just about what you’re selling… it’s about helping people see the vision. 👀

The vintage-style goose pieces, that blue ruffled lace, the quilted textiles?! Individually they might not immediately catch your eye, but styled together? Grandmacore/cottagecore perfection. 😭

This is one of my favorite parts of reselling — figuring out how to market something to the person who is going to LOVE it.

This past Sunday, we stopped by The Design Barn in Hebron for their five-year anniversary celebration, and they went all out—local vendors inside and outside, live music, drinks, brick oven pizza and Cousins Maine Lobster!

Such a fun way to spend the evening while supporting so many local businesses at once. Happy five years, The Design Barn! 🎉

🍂🎃 A very random little local thrift store haul, but apparently I’m ready for fall now 😂

I found a whole pile of these little autumn scarecrow decorations and fall bunny shelf sitters that are giving cottagecore grandma in the BEST possible way. 🥹🍁 I don’t know why, but I could not leave them there.

And then somehow mixed into my fall decor haul:

🧡 A little Carhartt orange hiding in the back 👀
🤎 And Anthropologie gray plaid joggers that are actually staying with ME for once

A little home decor, a little inventory, a little something for myself… a perfectly balanced thrift trip if you ask me. 😂

Hear me out 😂

Coach came back. Juicy Couture came back. Ballet flats came back. Low rise came back. Basically every questionable thing we wore in the 2000s has been given another chance…

So WHY are the Vera Bradley bags we all carried in 2007 still sitting at the thrift store?! 😂

I grabbed a bunch recently and decided I needed to actually style them like Y2K instead of photographing them like someone’s mom headed to the PTA meeting.

And I’m sorry but… I SEE THE VISION.

Some of these older patterns are SO good with the right styling.

Therefore I am officially starting the Vera Bradley propaganda campaign. 🎀😂

This is your reminder that sometimes the BRAND is the least important part of the listing. 👀

These are Sonoma shoes. Nothing crazy. Nothing particularly exciting brand-wise.

But I listed them based on what they actually ARE and the style people are searching for: black leather, moc toe, ballet flats, bow, preppy/classic style.

And now they have 55 likes, they’re sitting in someone’s bag, and I’ve been already sent 5 offers. 😂

Would “Sonoma black shoes size 10” have gotten the same attention? Probably not.

This is exactly why I’m always trying to squeeze the right searchable words into my listings. You’re not just selling the brand — you’re selling the style.

Now, after all that attention, one of you needs to actually BUY THEM. 😂😂

Reseller math is getting increasingly questionable over here 😂

I paid $139 for a 50 lb ThredUp kids clothing box and instead of listing every single piece myself, I decided to experiment with taking most of it to Once Upon a Child.

So far I’ve gotten $61 cash back, I still have 21 pieces from the original box that I’m listing myself, AND I somehow came home with 5 more pairs of shoes to resell because apparently I cannot simply take the money and leave. 💀😂

Oh, and I almost accidentally sold those SAME 5 pairs of shoes back to another OUAC for about $16 after I had literally just paid $45.20 for them. 🤦‍♀️

I still have more of the original 50 lbs to run through the stores, so this experiment is definitely not over.

The question is… am I actually going to make money on this $139 box or have I just invented an unnecessarily complicated way to move inventory? 😂

Reseller math is getting increasingly questionable over here 😂

I paid $139 for a 50 lb ThredUp kids clothing box and instead of listing every single piece myself, I decided to experiment with taking most of it to Once Upon a Child.
