This is me in San Diego in 1974. I grew up there and was so oblivious to how really cool it was. The 70’s bring back the most intense nostalgic feelings for me. I was running around in sprinklers, playing dress up, roller skating, going to the store with my Papa to get a bright red skateboard, riding bikes and just having to be home by the time the street lights were on. Every night was a block party. We all came out in the street to play wiffel ball, freeze tag, hide and seek, raced to see who was fastest, and my imagination was my greatest gift. Looking back I am so in awe that I was part of it all. I love that I was part of an era that this generation wants to recreate in their homes.
The 70’s were a time before things got so complicated. So rushed and full of technology.
I have been thinking a lot about the changes I wanted to make to my brand and low and behold here we are with plenty of time to do that.
I can’t help but think that we have been given a gift. A time to clear our skies and waterways of pollution. A time to be really good friends and take care of each other. A time to play and laugh and get to know our families beyond our phone screens.
A super cool time to breathe, reset, remember what is true and what life can be like if we slow it down. We have a chance to be “vintage”.
I am very aware that there is a hesitation to spend with all the uncertainty. I am going to take this time to list all my vintage and eclectic gems so if you want to purchase GREAT! If you can’t at this time I would love it if you would share the heck out of Revel Soul so by the time we move through this I will have so many more friends to celebrate with. I will be doing the same for every single business I know.
Thanks so much for your support and I’m praying you stay well and that we all will have a brighter future. 🌸✌🏻🙏✨🌿
