On Wednesday and Thursday I volunteered to teach a sewing class for a non profit summer camp youth group in pleasant grove. This was one of the reasons why I took vacation time from my job. I was overly excited to teach the kids and I can tell some of them were too lol. It was me and about 10 students, I provided the sewing machines I previously invested in. On day 1 we learned the machines and sewed on paper. One day 2 we cut the fabric, prepped the fabric and sewed a small zippered coin purse. I did this to help me sharpen my skills in teaching in a group setting. I have a lot to learn about teaching others and I would like to have more chances like this and maybe even start a non profit myself for the urban youths as this is a lost skill to have. I am blessed and appreciate this opportunity. Thank you The Stewpot for having me and thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to read this.
