The wedding season has been a busy one this summer. There have been MANY beautiful Wedding dresses, Bridesmaid dresses, Mother of the Bride, and Mother of the Groom dresses visit the sewing room for adjustments and hems. Wishing all involved blessings.

Aaaaaannnd,next up, the fall and winter weddings are making there way here. Gosh, what a treat to help make these days so special for my wonderful clients.

I have to brag a bit on my granddaughter. She received a reserve champion in dress review at county 4-H competition. This is her handiwork. I was honored to help her complete this super cute PJ set

Celebrating our country’s 250 birthday is a special time. It has been fun to do some Americana stitching. Each of these hand embroidered napkins feature a different motif.

Vintage linens are always intriguing. These napkins were found in an antique treasure shop unfinished and calling my name. They came home with me and patiently waited until I found time to do the handwork. It would be fascinating to know the story but for now it has been fun to complete them.

It is such an honor to help my customers with each of their projects. This project was very special. I was asked to make a graduation quilt made from the graduate’s late father’s shirts. Her mom wanted to give her a treasure that would keep her father close in spirit.

I so appreciate Mom’s special note of appreciation.

“I didn’t know what to do with my late husband’s clothes, but Beth made this BEAUTIFUL quilt out of his ties and dress shirts. I gave it to my daughter as a graduation gift for high school. Beth met with me to plan the quilt, and she checked in with me throughout the process to make sure it was coming together in a way that I liked. My daughter loved the quilt. It meant so much to her.”

Handcrafting unique, one-of-a-kind projects is so much fun. I love doing custom projects for clients as well as a few of my own. In between customers' important projects, I was feeling the 'Celebrating America's 250th Birthday' vibe and created this cute patriotic banner. If you're interested, it could be yours. I have two of them available - first come. It's approximately 48” from pennant to pennant. You could stretch it out a bit if needed.
