Hey everyone! Long time no see 😂
Been busy here… with a custom order.
The task was and still is to make a crochet version of this machine lace cardigan… photo below.
My working process started in April 2026, and it’s still going… everything i had to go off was the photos themselves.
The customer asked something similar to the original design, it didnt have to be exact like the original… but for me it mattered to be as close to the original as possible.
I think i got pretty close, given the circumstances, otherwise it would’ve been done in a whole different technique like needle lace or anything similar to needle lace - and that wouldve taken A LOT of time (for me at least).
Nevertheless, today i got to connect the flower motif to the four around it. Yayyyy 🤩🤩🤩 the hardest part here was to figure out the picots placing and how many sts to go for these picots. Crazy process… but rewarding in the end (“oh i did it!! 😂)

So just wanted to share and hopefully this will inspire others to grab onto challenging projects and have faith that it can all be done, with patience and perseverence.

Just finished a custom order - a table runner!
The color is Cream - like in the 1st photo, which also shows the table runner after the wash and block process 🤩

It also went to its new home!😁🤩 (3rd picture)

Working on a new project. Started it many times… as i needed it specifically the way i needed it 😂 after much trial and error (aka turmoil and disappointments), i finally made it!!! And this is filet crochet top-down raglan with a RAISED BACK that goes from neckline!!!
Im very happy with the result. For now it’s just a demo, as i want to add a design on the empty cells as well.

Another lace top, this time with blue flowers, almost ready awaiting its owner 😁😁😁 i will post more pictures on the actual model when i have them.

Used the same pattern as all my previous tops, exacept i changed the thickness of the yarn and hook size - to get a somewhat loose fit for a M-L size.

I used Monaco Crochet Cotton (size 8) thread, and a 3.0 mm aluminum hook

To get this drapey look, i soaked it, squeezed the water out and then stretched the fabric as much as possibly could and then laid it flat to dry. The cotton regains its shape once dried, but adds in length a bit - a method which i find works for my garments all the time and gives me the results i need.

Another item done and completed! 🤩
This blouse is not for me… im only modeling it 😂
It looks like a tunic on me (right now I’m a M size), but it really is a top for a size XL.
The receiver tried the top on today and she loved it!!! And to tell you the truth… when i chose the yarn and the hook size to make this item - i completely went by my gut with it… and i totally nailed it 🤩🤩🤩

The yarn is called Silky Soft (Loops & Threads brand), it’s rayon from bamboo. It’s a Light ( #3) yarn. The yarn is made out of 8 strands; i split it in half - and I used 3 skeins in total.

Aluminum hook - 2.5 mm; and for the open work pattern at the bottom - i used an aluminum hook 3 mm, thus not having to increase the number of stitches.

This yarn is super soft, but after washing and drying - it’s the softest crochet garment i’ve ever had on my skin… it’s super soft and it has that wonderful drape about it. And yes, it did add a bit of length once washed and blocked.
I think it came out perfectly and the most important is that the client is super excited to wear it. She said that nobody ever made anything handmade for her before. So I’m pretty happy about the result too!
