You’ve probably been hearing a lot about fiber internet projects happening across our area over the last year — and we wanted to take a minute to explain what’s going on and why it matters.

ETS has been working alongside local counties to help build new fiber infrastructure through state-funded programs like BEAD and CPF grants that were awarded to your counties. These grants were created to bring better internet access to rural and underserved areas that have historically been overlooked by large providers.

For many families, farms, businesses, and students, reliable internet is no longer a luxury — it’s essential. These projects are helping expand access to faster, more dependable internet while investing directly back into the communities we live and work in every day.

We know construction projects can sometimes feel confusing or disruptive while they’re happening, so we want to help people understand what these projects actually mean for their homes and neighborhoods.

You’ll continue to see more fiber construction, installations, and communities getting connected over the next year or two. We’re incredibly grateful to the counties, crews, and residents helping make it possible.

Most importantly — thank you for supporting local. We’re excited about what this means for the future of rural Idaho. 💙

Our customers received a text from us today with instructions on how to participate in this month’s giveaway. We are believers in the One Kind Act initiative from The Power of Kind Organization.

We challenged everyone to get involved and make our communities a place where we can celebrate the good in all of us.

Here is the message for anyone who wants to join us (send us a message if you need the flyer!):

We want to spread kindness in our communities. ETS is challenging our customers to do one kind act for a neighbor- cookies, flowers, heart attack their door, etc. We’ve made a flyer for you to include in your act. Be sneaky & send us a picture- make sure we can see the flyer in the photo!

To go along with our Blankets & Blockbusters, the prize is your very own movie theater setup- inflatable screen, mini projector, & outdoor speaker. To enter, send us a picture of you spreading kindness (make sure to leave the flyer!) 10 extra entries for sharing the photo on FB/Instagram & tagging us! We’ll pick a winner on the 24th!

A new year, means another tower safety training. We’ve said it before, and will always say it again- we take the safety of our tower climbers very serious. They’re spending the next two days with our tower trainer, Joel, certifying through Safety One to be deemed competent climbers.
