Brachycephaly and plagiocephaly are conditions that affect the shape of the skull, usually in infants, due to growth alterations or external pressures during the first months of life. Both are related to skull development while the bones are still malleable.

Dermal melanocytosis is the official name of there flat, blue, or blue-gray birthmarks.
Also called slate gray nevi...
They are usually present at birth or show up a few weeks later.
People called them Mongolian spots back in the day, but please do not.. That is not accetaple at all.
The color is from a collection of melanocytes, cells that make up the pigment color of the skin.
Some spots desappear by 1, but most are gone by 3-5 years old, and some stay until adulthood.

Melanocitose dérmica é o nome oficial dessas marcas de nascença planas, de cor azul ou cinza-azulada.

Também são chamadas de nevos cinza-ardósia.

Geralmente estão presentes ao nascimento ou aparecem algumas semanas depois. Antigamente, as pessoas as chamavam de manchas mongólicas, mas, por favor, evite esse termo—ele não é aceitável de forma alguma.

A cor vem de uma concentração de melanócitos, células que produzem o pigmento da pele.

Algumas manchas desaparecem até 1 ano de idade, a maioria some entre 3 e 5 anos, mas algumas podem permanecer até a vida adulta.
