Broccoliandcrystals is a vegan clothing line by Aura Lavender, specifically designed for color therapy. Parts of the profits are donated to charities. Aura Lavender has been designing since
2011. Aura felt a calling to share her passion for color therapy and its health benefits for the mind, body, and soul. She believes conscious color therapy brings results. She is mostly a self-taught fashion designer. Ever since her mother taught her how to hand sew at age 5, she has studied sewing in grade school and a workshop along the way. Lena, one of her sister-in-laws taught her to knit and crochet at age 8. However her greatest teachers were YouTube and books. What shaped her experience as an artist was her love for making doll clothes as a child. When in high school, she decided to design on a larger scale. In 2013, she became a pescetarian and gradually shifted to a more vegan lifestyle. She discovered color therapy around the same time and began to incorporate veganism and color therapy into her designs. Common responses about her work are “talented” “original” and “feminine”. You will find me most inspired when I look at pretty pictures or when I’m out in nature. I also set goals for myself. In 2014, I wanted to do a trade show, a fashion show and sell in a boutique and I did! I was part of the Raw Denver Show in May 2014 where I had a booth and was part of the fashion show. I also sold my clothing at Rakun in the Denver Art District the same year. You will find me at fashion shows and am part of craft fairs which I announce on my blog and etsy. I also do photo shoots. Some bloggers have featured me like Style Infornmant and Work Your Art by Debbie. I am so grateful for these guys. I won first place for a scholarship with my work when I applied to the AI of Denver. Then I decided to learn at my own pace. Currently I’m learning to master pattern making for sewing and crocheting. It has been an adventure so far. On my to do list for 2015, I want to be on Project Runway Season 14, have 2 fashion shows, collaborate with other artists, do photo shoots, sell at 3 boutiques, Etsy and my own website. My dreams for the future are to be a well-respected color therapist fashion designer, and costume designer. I also want to be an author or best seller books and an inspiring music artist. In terms of my personal life, I live in Thornton, CO. It is a very peaceful, quiet suburban lifestyle. I have two pets; Lyra my cat and Gilbert the beta fish. My family has supported me as a fashion designer by going to my show in 2014. My sister Yulia has also set up my first photo shoot and helped me get started back in 2011. My brother Alex has been supportive too; he got me a stack of business cards. Some random facts about me:

What does my work offer the visitor and how can it enrich their lives? My clothing offers the visitor an opportunity to consciously do color therapy in their lives, therefore leading to desired results in their mindful, emotional, spiritual, physical lives. Plus the right color makes us look young and reawakens out vitality. Color therapy can enrich our everyday living experience. What sets Broccoliandcrystals clothing apart from other colorful clothing? I design specifically with color therapy in mind, which influences many design elements. I also design clothing that is vegan and one of a kind. Everything is limited edition too. Do I accept commission work or custom orders? For commission work you can email me at [email protected].
