I grew up racing my siblings and terrorizing my friends on ATVs and adventuring through the muck and mire of my family's 20 acre forested plot. I built forts, organized strike missions and all together had a great childhood. But when the time came to think about the future I couldn't bring myself to abandon all that I had done. So to balance a life in the concrete jungle of life with my outdoorsy

inner self I took up a hobby in cartooning and sculpting. My artistic abilities inspired others to present me with opportunities to further my craft and after a while I was using my drawing skills at my job in construction and for various domestic activities. I went to college for a degree in general business management and during my final year my mom commissioned me to make a mask for my sister to wear to a mask contest at the local renaissance festival. She had already researched mask making materials and asked me to make it using leather. I resigned myself to the task and did extensive research on the craft before diving in. The mask came in second to an elaborate full fur suit dragon costume, but the buzz over my mask was the talk of the fair. I suddenly realized that I had found my nitch, a perfect blend of my drawing and sculpting skills that also utilized the imaginative adventurousness of my past.

Hello all!

Griffin Forge won't be able to make it to the Holly Michigan Renaissance Festival this year.

However, we will be back in time for the Grand Rapids Comic Con, hope to see you there!
