Hi, I’m Ashley, the hands behind Sevenly Stitchd 🤍

Motherhood opened my eyes to a different kind of spiritual warfare.

Not fear-based…
but faith-activated.

Because once you become responsible for shaping a little heart, protecting a little mind, and guiding a little life…
you realize how much influence the world has on them.

So here are 3 prayers I started praying consistently after becoming a mom:
1. I pray for my children’s future spouse.
That they would love Jesus deeply.
That they would be kind.
That they would protect my child’s heart, not break it.
That their paths would align at the right time.

2. I pray for their friendships.
That they would be surrounded by people who encourage them, not pressure them.
Friends who speak life.
Friends who influence them toward purpose, not away from it.
3. And yes… I pray that if they are ever doing something they shouldn’t be doing…
they get caught.
Not because I want them to feel shame…
but because I want them protected.

Because redirection is protection.
Conviction is protection.
Consequences can be protection.

Motherhood has made me realize…
prayer is one of the most powerful things I can do for my children when I’m not with them.

If you’re a mama, just know:
your prayers are covering more than you can see.

I never expected motherhood to deepen my prayer life the way it has.
Before kids, I prayed for guidance.
Now I pray for protection, wisdom, friendships, confidence, purpose… everything.

Because suddenly your heart exists outside of your body. 👀

Motherhood has shown me how little control I actually have…
and how much peace comes from trusting God with the pieces I can’t hold together on my own.

If you’ve ever laid awake praying over your children…
their future…
their faith…
their struggles…
you are not the only one.

There is something powerful about a mother who prays.
And God sees every single one.

There are so many mama sweatshirts out there.

And while I love a good cozy piece, I kept feeling like something was missing.

I didn’t just want to create something cute… I wanted to create something meaningful.

That’s why every Sevenly Stitch’d mama sweater includes a Bible verse stitched into the sleeve.

Something to ground you when motherhood feels overwhelming.
Something that reminds you that you’re not doing this alone.

Because being a mama is more than a title… it’s a calling.

Our family of 10 is loud.
It’s busy.
It’s never quiet… and honestly, it’s never boring. 🤍

I used to think peace would come
once the kids were in bed.

Or maybe when life finally slowed down…

Or maybe when they were all grown…

Or maybe when I figured out how to keep my house clean for more than 30 seconds. 😂

But I’ve learned something different.

Peace doesn’t come when everything around me settles…
it comes when I do.

When I lean in.
When I release control.
When I trust God.

And digging into the names of God changed everything for me.

Because peace - Shalom - doesn’t just mean calm.

It means wholeness.
Completeness.
Well-being in every part of your life.

God isn’t just offering you a quiet moment…
He’s offering you a full, steady, unshakable peace.

And that kind of peace?

It’s only found in His presence.

In Him, our Shalom. 🤍

I truly never expected my little embroidery shop to go in this direction.

When I first started, I thought I would simply be creating meaningful pieces for women and families. I had no idea God might use it to connect me with other small businesses in our community.

But little by little, He keeps bringing the sweetest business owners into my life.

Getting to create merch for HoneyRoot Coffee Co has been such a blessing. Not just because I get to stitch something for their shop, but because of the people behind it. Being able to pray for them, cheer them on, and celebrate their wins fills my cup more than I ever imagined when I started this journey.

After they received their order, she called me just to say thank you… and I was overflowing with gratitude and joy. Moments like that leave me standing in complete awe of God for the way He’s leading this little business.

I may not have seen this path coming, but He clearly did.

So grateful for the friendships God is weaving through this journey 🤍

Week 11 of 52: Building a $50k small business one order at a time.

Some weeks feel small while you’re in them… until you actually stop and look back.

This week:
• 10 orders came in
• 2 merch partnership meetings
• HoneyRoot merch launched (5 orders on launch day!!)

Sales this week: $521

That brings my 2026 total so far to $3,021.56 and my goal for the year is $50,000.

Still a long way to go… but God is in control and I’m following.
Every order, every partnership, and every late night working on designs is building something bigger.

Grateful for every person supporting this little business of mine 🤍

You don’t know God as Jireh until you need Him to provide.

There have been moments I didn’t see how it would work… but God did.

When we experienced a miscarriage, I didn’t know if we’d have another child…. but God did. He blessed us with 4 more children!

When we bought our house, we didn’t think it would be possible… but God did. He provided the right people and timing for us to buy our house ( when rates were lowest 🙌)

When our baby was diagnosed in my womb with a rare disorder, we didn’t know what her birth and life would look like…. but God did. (He provided the doctors, hospital, care team and healed her 😭 and left the doctors in awe and amazement )

We are currently going through something extremely difficult, uncertain of what things will look like… but God does!

My God has provided over and over and over again. There is no one in this world that can tell me otherwise. This is the name I’ve clung to and will continue to keep close to my heart.

Our God is Jehovah-Jireh. 🙌
Amen
