Three minutes. Maybe four. Then they’re up.

It’s not the book. It’s not the subject. It’s the flat surface that makes staying feel harder than leaving.

We built a desk that changes that. Solid birch. A 20° reading tilt that keeps them upright instead of hunched. Sized for kids, not scaled-down adults.

These ones aren’t.

The Londji puzzle that’s still half-finished on the table. The Bebenita doll whose story keeps changing. The easel that’s drawing something different than it was in June. The ball pit that’s never once been too big or too small.

We didn’t add these because they’re pretty. We added them because they last.

At 2, they place by shape. At 4, they build the picture. Same puzzle, different reasons to keep coming back.

That feeling when you walk into a puzzle store in Barcelona and realize you’ve been buying the wrong puzzles your whole life.

Londji has been designing puzzles in Barcelona since 2004. FSC-certified paper, vegetable-based ink, artwork that makes you want to leave it on the table. Ages 2 through 7+.

Most parents have never heard of ASTM D-4236. But if your kids use markers, it’s worth knowing about.

Every art supply sold in the US has to conform to this standard. What it actually requires: a certified toxicologist reviews the formula and determines whether any ingredient could cause harm with regular, long-term use.

If something is found, the label has to say so. If nothing is found, there’s nothing to warn about.

The markers included with our Tabletop Easel were reviewed by a board-certified toxicologist. All 6 colors. No hazards found.

Save this - it’s the kind of thing worth knowing before you hand a marker to a three-year-old.
