In response to another wave of false claims both on Facebook and Reddit:
1. I did not falsely accuse my ex.
2. I reported what DID, sadly and horribly, happen to the police.
3. I did so after a legitimate, growing fear, after I had the courage to end the relationship. (In case you’re wondering, this is can be the most dangerous time for someone leaving a dynamic like that)
4. My attorney helped encourage me to be brave enough to speak up to authorities. Because some things were happening that caused me to feel great fear. So if something more were to happen, they would have some record of what’s been going on for some time.
5. There is actual evidence, witnesses to certain things. It was a case that was charged by the city, then the prosecutors office moved forward with it.
6. I was asked before the trial, how I felt about offering a plea deal- this was in part so I could decide to face it all again in court, in front of a jury, etc.
7. I communicated that I was accepting of the plea deal. My hope was, this would be enough to bring this all to an end and not have anyone else hurt in the future.
8. I have no knowledge of anything like this taking place:
“The things my kids have gone through, having to provide evidence to police, proving her stories were completely fabricated, it's unreal”
9. I do know one of the kids specifically, did witness something I wished he’d never had. It breaks my heart honestly. There was a video and I ensured his mom was made aware of what had happened, my heart still aches over that.
Lastly it is my birthday week… and just like last year - ON MY BIRTHDAY - another one of these same post were made…
The fear, stress and harassment have greatly affected my life and my health.
I want to be left alone. I want the lies to stop.
Until they do, I will stand up for myself.
I will no longer allow anyone to try and take my voice, my sovereignty, my dignity, my right to feel safe- ever again.
