Today, the anchors go on.

Congratulations to every newly pinned Chief Petty Officer joining the Mess.

For 133 years, Chiefs have carried a legacy built through war, crisis, change, and generations of Sailors who looked to the Mess when things got difficult.

Today, that legacy becomes yours.

As you start Day 1 as a Chief, here are five things I hope you remember:

1. Treat the anchors as a responsibility, not a reward.
Your Sailors will remember how you led long after your watch is over.

2. Prioritize what matters most.
The work will never be finished. Know what matters, make the decision, and act.

3. Adapt without making excuses.
Plans will fail. Orders will change. People will look to you when things go sideways. Bend without breaking.

4. Find a way to overcome.
You don't have to know everything. Use your experience, your network, and your Mess, then figure out how to move forward.

5. Live the anchors every day.
Take care of your Sailors. Support your fellow Chiefs. Give your Officers honest counsel. Take care of your family and yourself.

Getting pinned is not the finish line.

It's Day 1.

You do not just wear the anchors.

You live them.

Congratulations, Chiefs.

133 years of legacy. Welcome to the Mess. ⚓

7. 8. 9. The anchors change. The standard doesn’t. ⚓

Chief. Senior Chief. Master Chief.

Different levels of responsibility. Different expectations. Same obligation to lead from the front, take care of Sailors, and live what the anchor represents.

You don’t just wear the rank. You earn it every damn day.

⚓ Earn the Anchor. Live the Creed.
⚓ Lead at the next level.
⚓ Two Stars. One Standard.

Which one are you repping, 7, 8, or 9? Drop it below. 👇

To every Chief Select heading into Final Night this week:

Finish what you started.

And to every Chief who helped get them here, remember what September 16 felt like for you.

Almost there.

Seriously, thank you.

Every order, repeat customer, share, tag, review, and recommendation helps keep this thing growing.

Elder Goat is becoming more than a store. That’s the goal. ⚓🐐

Twenty-five years.

For a lot of us, September 11th shaped the Navy we joined, the wars we fought, the places we deployed, and the people we served beside.

Some were already wearing the uniform that morning. Others would raise their right hand because of what happened that day. An entire generation of Sailors served in a Navy forever changed by September 11, 2001.

Today, we remember the lives that were lost, the people who ran toward danger, the families who never got their loved ones back, and everyone who answered the call in the years that followed.

25 years later, we remember.

Apparently the Mess has spoken.

The 7, 8 and 9 designs have been absolutely killing it.

Now I want to know which one wins strictly on design.

Forget your actual paygrade for a second. 😂

7, 8 or 9?
