Some risks pay you back in dollars. Others pay you back in lessons, courage, and a much bigger idea of what you’re capable of.

This weekend, Bahari : Where Heritage Meets Elegance stepped outside our usual South Asian spaces and into a comic expo.

Was it our biggest sales weekend? Nope. 😅
Did I learn a LOT? Absolutely.

But somewhere between loading and unloading piles of boxes, changing displays, talking to comic lovers and watching what made them stop, smile and buy, I realized something else:

BAHARI is pushing me SO FAR OUTSIDE of MY COMFORT ZONE.

I got my driver’s license in my 30s. For years, I was nervous to even drive across town.

Now I’m driving a rental minivan across states and through cities I barely know. Setting up shop. Talking to hundreds of strangers. Learning completely new customers. And then packing it all up and coming home with a head full of ideas for what’s next.

And seeing someone pick up something I curated and say, “This is so unique”—or genuinely light up over a piece of BAHARI—still makes my heart flutter. ❤️

That’s entrepreneurship, I guess! You have to be bold enough to try before you know if it will work. Some experiments pay off materially. Others pay you back in valuable learning. Both move you forward.

Life is an adventure. If something keeps calling you outside your comfort zone, don’t be afraid to listen.

You might surprise yourself.
