It was a spooky moment but everything arrived accounted for!! 😻 This is the most fun I’ve had in a while opening a box, there were SO many different colorways in this order, tons of new stuff for Lake Eden Reunion this weekend and markets for the rest of the year 🌈🥳.

Mil gracias Luz y Nestor!!

Laura of Colombian Indigenous Art | Beadwork | Storytelling Creations has been working non-stop with Lina, Embera Artisan, Leader, and member of the Unificado Indigenous Reservation of Embera Chamí families living in Pueblo Rico, Risaralda.

This week we sent them $812 USD (2,500,000 COP), their first aid from anyone, to buy groceries for the 14 families in the community. These are the first five pictures & video with Lina thanking you for your donations right before dividing up the purchased groceries between everyone.

They will be receiving another $1,000 USD (3,000,000 COP) today to purchase additional groceries and important medicines that many community members are lacking.

The next need that we will work together with the community to address is their water. All of their tanks that store potable water are irreparable - in ground cement tanks and plastic ones. Complete reconstruction of their in ground water storage will take some time, but soon large plastic tanks and barrels will be purchased.

We are grateful for all your support, and encourage you to keep sharing our GoFundMe with your friends and family! The link is in the bio of Colombian Indigenous Art | Beadwork | Storytelling Creations and Wild You Handmade

Amig@s, I know there is a lot of pain in the world, but if you’ve ever appreciated the vibrant art of Colombia, had an amazing trip there, or just have the means to give even a couple of dollars to these communities in need, it would be most appreciated 🫂.

It’s important to highlight that the NO LEVEL OF COLOMBIAN GOVERNMENT, local or federal, has reached out to these indigenous reservations with any form of assistance. Only the pueblo saves the pueblo 🫶.

Links in our bios to donate, we have raised $1,200 in just the first day and plan to start distributing funds ASAP!!!!

Thank you 💗

Though I didn’t take as many pictures as I should have, a lovely lovely weekend was had vending at Love Shine Play Yoga Festival !! Year three was the best one yet - and I am so incredibly grateful for everyone who shopped with us and made the weekend an abundant one. Also grateful for a waterfall visit on the way out!!

I started Wild You Handmade in 2020 when I was still living in Colombia and there have been many ups and downs, hopes go grow, times of pause, and right now I feel a renewed energy of focus and creativity that I hope will bring joy to all and more support than ever to our artisan friends!

Thanks for being a part of the journey 🌈.

June 11-14 I got out of NC and went to vend at Berkshire Yoga Festival all the way up in Western Mass!

I loved taking off my chacos and putting my feet in the grass all day, meeting new friends, and having special conversations with you about life and sharing about the Colombian artisans you supported 🫶.

Hope to see you again! Maybe at Love Shine Play Yoga Festival in July? 🥰
