Grateful is an understatement. Thank you to Harlem’s Fashion Row & Brandice Daniel for selecting me and to be part of this year’s Designer Retreat. These past 3 days poured wisdom, insight, and real community into me as a designer. From being in rooms with leaders from Calvin Klein, Nike, and Foot Locker to connecting with so many gifted Black designers, it reminded me that we truly do have each other.
13 years in, self-taught, self-funded, and still learning, growing, and building. As a cut & sew atelier, being able to receive this level of knowledge and pour back into others was a blessing I don’t take lightly. Thank you for opening the doors, creating the space, and speaking life into us all.
