Niue, your beauty stole our hearts 🫶🏻. A country we had no idea existed a month ago, Niue was such a surprising discovery 💎 Our journey thus far has been mostly on the water, so to explore a magical place that had so much untouched, dramatic land-based beauty… was a big breath of fresh air. It’s a difficult country to get to, with only one flight per week out of New Zealand, or you need to have your own boat. 100 ⭐️’s / 10, HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

🌺🪴🏠🪴🌺 We are approaching our one year anniversary since we officially moved out of our Fabulous Bohemian Beach Bungalow, and turned it into a rental as we sail around the world. Gardening and floral arranging has been one of my greatest sources of inspo fueling my art over the years 🌹 I look back at some of my favorite arrangements and plants in and around our beach house in Manhattan Beach, California 🫶🏻

Neon color contrasts highlight my bedside light-up hanging table ✨💐✨

This vintage thrift store vase that I named “Bruce,” is a favorite in the rotation and was used regularly for small arrangements. It always put a smile on my face and was a focal point of guest conversation ⛹🏻💨

I love to dress up our dinners with bold table scapes, texture and drama 🌈🕯️🍽️🪴

Matchy-matchy makes me happy

Starbust mirrors flank the walls and complement my favorite thrift- store furniture find, a 70’s mirror covered bar. A pop of color with garden grown roses adds just the right amount of Fabulousness 🩶🩶❤️🩶🩶

My bohemian beach backyard was a sight for sore eyes in the morning 🌵 the reclaimed brick fire-pit complete with bold mismatched addirondock chairs is a bold stood out against the live succulent wall backdrop. The pufferfish sink lamp keeps a watchful eye on the pugs roaming about.

I love unexpected containers for my arrangements! I took this b**r bottle to a glass cutting shop, creating a fun, whimsical arrangement perfect for hostess gifts, birthdays… guaranteed to always put a smile on the receivers face 🍺💐 🍺

Giving my vintage Dior Saddle Bag new life took me a total of 78 hours to complete- working on it little by little every night during my night watch as we sailed 3700 nautical miles over 28 days across the Pacific Ocean aboard our catamaran, .

I had a vision to breathe new life into my well-loved purse using charms, chains, and buttons that matched the gold and denim tones. Many nights in my early 2000’s were spent covered in spray tan, standing in torture chamber high heels at the hottest night clubs and parties in Hollywood carrying this bag…. And the wear and tear showed! Seriously, if this bag could talk 🫢

I had inherited my grandmothers button collection which included many nautical style gold buttons- so fitting and sentimental for this project!

While traveling through Mexico at the beginning of our sailing journey, I started collecting “Milagros” which are small, religious folk charms that are traditionally used for healing purposes in Mexico. They are frequently attached to altars, shrines, and sacred objects found in places of worship… and also can be found tucked away in Grandma’s purses for good luck and protection. They were perfect for this project!

Add in some gold chain and tassels that I had add left over from my business, and hours of hand needle and thread work…. AND VOILA! My very loved Vintage Dior Logo Saddle Bag is like new, and one-of-kind ready for the spotlight again! 💙
