When I invited Kait into my home studio, I knew that I wanted Jordan's order to be photographed!

Her custom order is more of a collection that spans through multiple pieces. The three Bompa bowls are some of the most beautiful we've ever created together. The 16 coasters will forever be in the back of my mind.

My creativity flowed in its happiest state within this collection. From the moment I saw the flowers grown by Sydney to the top coat on the final coaster, I was enamored and inspired.

The dahlias, lisianthus, delphiniums, and straw flowers remind me that summer will arrive again, in her own time.

I'm Sam Moon. The Artist and Preservationist behind Moon & Pine Studio.

My business happened by accident. The moment our oldest daughter handed me a buttercup grown in our backyard, my instinct was to keep it forever. When my hand held the flower, I saw her and the memory of that day.

From that day forward, I've learned that flowers hold as many memories for you as they do for me.

Sending me flowers from the most cherished days of your life is not only a lesson in trust but also ensures that they will "live on" well after the day has ended.

I'm a huge advocate for keeping your flowers out of the trash. In my mind and in my heart, they deserve better. It's my sentiment soul... I can't help it.

A few weeks ago, I welcomed my dear friend, Kait, into my home studio to document a glimpse into my process. A little bit of Business Babe, dried flowers, baby snuggles, and custom orders made for a perfect morning.

My largest commission and custom order yet was sent off to her forever home in October.
Earlier in the year, I met up for coffee with a mom and her daughter. Mom had been looking for years for someone to preserve her daughter's (the bride's) wedding flowers.
The pair had dried the flowers years prior with the intention of completing a project together. Unfortunately, the bride's husband tragically passed away. The flowers were left to sit until we met for coffee.
The project was deeply meaningful. The bride's father built the shadow box from a piece of furniture once owned by her grandmother. The coaster holds the groom's boutonnière. The shadowbox forever holds the bride's bouquet and flower crown she wore.
The finished pieces took my breath away... the flowers hold more meaning to the family than could ever be explained. Now they have a forever home outside a box stored in a closet.

Happy 1st Wedding Anniversary to Brooke & Tyler ✨️
Brooke messaged me a few days after their intimate ceremony and asked if I could preserve their wedding flowers! Of course I said YES!
Her bouquet was stunning! Like jump for joy gorgeous, featuring giant pink peonies and red roses!
When we had our virtual coffee date to chat about designs, Brooke knew she wanted a dainty necklace for their daughter, a bracelet for herself, and a set of coasters for their home.
Coasters are some of my favorite items to create! I envision them as miniature art pieces. Each one is individually beautiful and yet a part of a larger, grander design in a set.
We did some experimenting, and she LOVED the idea of clear coasters with gold flecks and gold painted edges. They are now officially an offering because they're stunning!
My favorite part of custom orders is the collaboration between myself and a client! Choosing to have your wedding flowers last forever should be a representation of YOU and your day.

✨ Maternity Leave Update ✨
Moon & Pine Studio will be taking a short pause as I prepare for maternity leave, and I want to make sure you have the important dates to keep in mind:
🛍️ Last In-Person Market: Harvest Fest, Corning, NY - Sept 19th & 20th
🌸 Final Day for Custom Orders (pre-dried flowers, ashes, etc.): Sept 29th
🌼 Final Day for Live Flower Drop-Offs: Nov 3rd
💻 Website Refresh: Oct 4th
✨ Custom Orders Reopen: ETA March 2, 2026
Live flowers take about 2.5–3 months to dry, so flowers from October drop-offs will be dried in January. My goal is to begin pouring existing Custom Orders from August - October when I return late February 2026.
Custom Orders will be fulfilled in the order they were submitted and flowers received.
Unfortunately, I will not be able to accommodate last-minute Holiday Orders or Custom Orders after the dates above.

Meet me at the Market on the Mountain ⛰️ ✨️
Tomorrow is Bespoke Apothecary Elmira yearly gathering of marvelous local businesses!! It's not one to be missed. It comes around once a year. This will be my 3rd year, and each one amazes me. The outpouring of community, love, and friendship that Bill and April cultivate is otherworldly.
