We’ve been talking about this for awhile, and it finally happened! We’ve published a children’s book! Sunday Breakfast is an adaptation of Rick Bocko’s song of the same name and illustrated by Pam Bocko. It’s a fun read along, play along, sing-along, and listen to book. It’s been awhile since I’ve posted here! I’ve had several people ask if I’m going to be at the International Quilt Market and International Quilt Festival this week and next, and the answer is…sorry, but no. In fact, I have decided to retire from doing shows. BUT…my patterns are still available on my website piecefuldesigns.com . Please email or call to order patterns. And…stay tuned for something new and exciting to come! My husband Rick and I have collaborated to write and illustrate a children’s book that we’ve adapted from one of his popular songs that he has written. It’s almost ready to go to the publisher so I’ll let you all know when it’s done and available. In the meantime, happy stitching!

Just last night we were talking about antibody production (yes, we have “interesting” discussions at our house being that we’re two healthcare workers) and I mentioned that it takes time for antibodies to develop. My Hematology brain is out of the archives! This is a good article that explains basic primary response vs antibody production and immunity.

Immunity to Covid-19 is not as clear cut as we might hope – but understanding who is immune and why will be key to finding a treatment.

Hi everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything. I’ll be honest, it’s been a rough time for us here at Pieceful Designs this past month...surprise surgeries, kidney stones, family member hit by the Nashville tornado, and my dad passed away all while dealing with the uprising of Covid-19. In addition AQS Quiltweek-Paducah is postponed so all those kits I made in advance will go into storage for another time. The show is rescheduled for September but unfortunately I won’t be able to attend, so my apologies to all of you who had signed up for classes. I’m contracted to be teaching at the International Quilt Festival in Houston in the fall, so let’s hope we can get things cleared up by then and hopefully I’ll see a few of you there. In the meantime I’m going to use my stay at home time (a rarity for me!) wisely and hope to create some new patterns. I also have a new fabric line, through Studio e, that is supposed to be released soon (that may change due to circumstances). I’ll let you know about anything new as it happens. In the meantime, we are still open for business via our website.
