We have a "new" pattern available for Pre-Sale! The 125 Huichol Wardrobe was first released by Folkwear in 1981, and we have brought this amazing pattern back into print in larger sizes! This pattern includes Pants, Shirt, Blouse, Skirt, and Tabard (tunic), plus history and detailing, embroidery designs, and instructions. This is a great photo of our 204 Missouri River Boatman's Shirt, from our archive. This is a great folk shirt pattern, based on an original traditional shirt from the 1800s. A work shirt from the region with details similar to folk shirts from eastern Europe. A handsome shirt! And the pattern is on sale all month.

We love the Folkwear makes that our customers have been sending us over the last few months have been so fun to look at! We love this one Debby sent us of the 204 Missouri River Boatman's Shirt she made for her husband to wear in their wedding. It is so sweet, with a few tiny embroidered flowers to match the colors of her dress. Very handsome!

New featured pattern this month! The 204 Missouri River Boatman's Shirt is on sale all month. This is one of Folkwear's first historic patterns and based on an original garment. It is a folk work shirt with all the typical details -- underarm gussets, shoulder yokes, etc.
This is a great time to get this pattern because we are going to be increasing the price of the pattern once this inventory runs out (due to increased printing cost).

Our "newest" pattern, the 214 Tea Frock is only on sale for one more day (thru July 31!). This 1920s informal dress has so much going for it -- flattering v-neck, drop waist, options for flutter sleeve, long sleeve, or sleeveless, collar or no, options for smocking and embroidery (plus all the instructions and designs for handwork). This dress is really lovely. Plus you can make a shirt from it as well!

Another option for our “newest” pattern, the 214 Tea Frock. I made several shirts from the pattern, and this one I made with a silk-like viscose with the flutter sleeves and a collar. Such a perfect summer top! Get the pattern (and make a dress or top) while it’s on sale through the end of the month.

One of my favorite Folkwear outfits for staying cool in the summer is our 128 Russian Settler's Dress! Loose and comfortable, and perfect made in a lightweight cotton or linen - it is a great option for a pretty and cool dress to wear all summer. (Also a great maternity dress!)
