One of my favorite Folkwear outfits for staying cool in the summer is our 128 Russian Settler's Dress! Loose and comfortable, and perfect made in a lightweight cotton or linen - it is a great option for a pretty and cool dress to wear all summer. (Also a great maternity dress!)

One of the things I love about the "new" pattern we released, is that it makes a great top! I made this top from a linen blend we have in stock, using just the bodice front and back. I didn't add the collar or flutter sleeves, and just finished with a narrow hem at the bottom. Super easy and very fun to wear. I got compliments the day I made it and wore it. The pattern is 214 1927 Tea Frock. Find it on our site!

We are so excited to re-release our 214 Tea Frock in larger sizing and as a paper pattern and PDF pattern! With this pattern, you can make two versions of this classic midi length dress. Add embroidery, drawn threadwork, or smocking to detail this gorgeous vintage dress. We love the options on this dress -- sleeves (or not), collar, waist options, and detailing. There's a lot here! The dress is based on originals from 1927.
