I don't usually get from food trucks, but on a hot day like today, I couldn't pass up some cold lemonade from The Lemonade Shark LLC . I got their blue raspberry and my daughter got the watermelon.
They are FANTASTIC.
If you see them out and around, get yourself some lemonade!!

Well, my plans to use the Cricut to cut out the pieces for the bags kinda derailed. The pieces cut a LOT smaller than when I cut them by hand, so I'm cutting them out by hand. 🤦🤷
Got the fabric for 3 bags cut out and now I'm working on the interfacing.
Ok... back to it.

I tested the fabric cutting on the Cricut today and I'm so excited! I feel a bit dumb for waiting so long and being scared about using a feature I bought it for!
My new 24 x 12 inch mats should be here tomorrow so I can HOPEFULLY start cutting the pattern pieces. 😊

I do want to apologize for being quiet for so long. 😖 The past few weeks have been full of more appointments (doctors and dental), softball, testing, and other end of school year stuff for high school.
I'm also helping my son with his college scholarship applications and everything associated.
I have not forgotten about the bags. I have found that I have SVG files to cut out the pattern pieces to help expedite the process... once I get the mats. They have been ordered and since I've never used the fabric mats or anything for the Cricut (Been too scared to), I'll be officially testing that feature tomorrow.

Again - I am so sorry for it being so long of a wait - again. It is not intentional and everything just wants to hit at once.

I had a request for a new bag and the last of the fabric FINALLY came in today! I have to wash it first so it'll be a day or two before I can start cutting. (Yes, I wash ALL of my fabric before using it.)
I'm going to be using new (to me) elements for it, and I'm super excited.

I'm not 100% sure what I'm going to do with the fabric with the owls yet. I would LOVE to make a bag with it, but this fabric has become rather difficult to find. The only 2 or 3 sellers that I could find had a yard each, and I could only get one for now.
I had a set of pillows made with this that I donated for the charity auction at RavenCon, and someone had asked if I could find that fabric again. 😊

Yes, we're still alive over here and the site is still running!!
It's taken us a little longer than we had thought to get our one crisis taken care of.
Last weekend, as we were getting ready to head home, my mom called and said that there was water all over the basement. My daughter's dad followed us to the house and quickly figured out what the issue was and did a "quick fix." One of our pressure tanks blew, but thankfully we have others, so it's not a huge issue.
We had to wait the whole week for a plumber to come out and check her dad's work (his suggestion) and we finally got the 👍 on Friday.
We got a few things cleaned out here and there, but it's mostly just waiting for the basement to dry out. We have a dehumidifier going, so that's helping.
*My girl has had softball as well and yesterday was her first "Round Robin" tournament. Her team won both games they played and she was excited about that. Had to include a pic of her hitting the ball... *DING*
This week coming up, we have another busy week. She's got state testing 2 days and have to drive an hour away for it along with a few appointments. 😵‍💫😵‍💫

Had our kitty, Boe, to the vet this morning. It appears to be an infection and we're trying medication first. If he's not better by Thursday, we'll have to do more extensive diagnostics.
We're hoping the meds help so we don't have to go that route.
He's already looking a little better.
Fingers crossed for our Boe!!
