The question we get asked all the time , why crochet toys instead of Knit if your clothes are Knitted ?

Knitted Friends is a brand we started based off design sketched characters . Both these designs are our original designs . Before we compare our pieces to any brand we wanted an equal comparison on pieces we actually make .

We personally prefer Crochet for our rattles so we rather keep things consistent with the toys to match . Now we can do a side by side comparison .

The texture of crochet amigurmi style allows the stuffies to have a bit of character . The amount of time to make a knit style takes actually a bit longer than Crochet . Amigurmi style while it’s not easy to make it requires one hook , while Knit you use two needles and if you mess up the whole thing possible could unravel .

When there is a hole in the Knit piece the whole thing is not possible to stitch back together as the whole line comes undone . While the crochet doll if an arm comes off you can stitch it back together and it’s slightly more durable texture wise .

To us the Knit piece looks more average like you can get it anywhere , while the crochet one just looks more like a keepsake something worth spending where your heart just goes awwww .
