🚚 Story time from the Delivery Diaries 🪪

I pulled up to the gate at one of our local communities, popped my driver’s license into the call box, and waited while the guard phoned the owner. She comes back on the speaker and says, "The owners aren't expecting anything, you have to turn around." I tried explaining that the people who ordered were renters, but with another car now behind me, I had to pull out of the queue to call my customers.

They gave me another family address inside the same neighborhood, so I looped back around to the gate. That's when the panic hit: I had left my driver's license sitting in the call box slot when I pulled away.

I leaned out the window, stared into the slot, and grabbed the card sitting inside. I flipped it over. Staring back at me wasn't my face, but the smiling mug of a guy named Juan 😳

So, meet Juan. In the 3 minutes I was gone, Juan scanned in, took off, and left HIS driver's license behind. Juan is an airport chauffeur. Juan needs his driver's license just as badly as I need mine.
Long story short: the crib made it, but I had to track down Juan on the side of the road to get my life back. 🚗🍼💳
