I used to wonder why my mom never bought herself clothes/shoes etc. & when she did they were always on clearance.
Now after becoming a mom I understand why! I will wear the same outfit all week but my baby gotta have new clothes! My birthday is this weekend my husband gave me money to go shopping and all I wanna do is get my baby new stuff 🥲

Because ,
Pregnancy wasn't 50/50.
Birth wasn't 50/50.
Breastfeeding wasn't 50/50.
The mental load isn't 50/50.
Postpartum recovery wasn't 50/50.
The sleepless nights weren't 50/50.
The physical changes weren't 50/50.

Went to school with Paiton Parks Jackson and her sister Cali, they were always super sweet. I am so heart broken to hear about Cate girl! Hope they’re an able to reach their goal! If you can’t donate in these times that’s understandable, please share and help spread the word!

Before becoming a mom, there were so many things that I took for granted.

Like,
Sleeping through the night.
Leaving the house without packing and double checking the diaper bag 10xs all while also getting another person ready to leave for 45 minutes first.
Silence. The sound of my own thoughts.
Being able to sit down without someone needing me immediately.
I took for granted SOOO MANY things.
Oh how I miss uninterrupted “everything” showers, sitting down to eat a meal while it’s still warm, clean floors lasting longer than five seconds, and the freedom to just rest whenever I felt tired.

I also took for granted things I never even noticed before motherhood.
How easy it was to only think about myself.
How little I understood about sacrifice.
How deeply a person could love another human being.

Motherhood has changed my perspective on everything.
Now, even the smallest things feel meaningful:
Her tiny hands reaching for me.
Hearing her say "mama."
Bedtime snuggles.
Watching my babygirl experience the world for the first time.
Motherhood made life harder in many ways...
But it also made life fuller, deeper, and more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. 💕
