Becoming Who God Knew — Phase Two: Who Are You Beneath the Labels?

In this phase, we are going deeper into the difference between what happened to you and who God says you are.

Gideon saw himself as the least, but God called him a mighty man of valor. His experiences had shaped the way he saw himself, but God spoke to the identity that was already there.

This teaching is about recognizing the labels pain, rejection, failure, abandonment, fear, and other people may have placed on you—and learning how to separate those experiences from your true identity in God.

You may have experienced rejection, but you are not rejected.
You may have failed, but you are not a failure.
You may have been overlooked, but you are not forgotten.
You may have been broken, but brokenness does not get to name you.

It is time to stop answering to names God never called you and come into agreement with who He says you are.

Main Scriptures: Judges 6:12–15 • James 1:23–25 • 2 Corinthians 5:17

“Wisdom Still Needs Obedience” is the eleventh single in our musical journey through all 66 books of the Bible—teaching, revealing, and encouraging through every lyric.

First Kings reveals Solomon’s wisdom, the glory filling the Temple, the kingdom’s division, and Elijah’s confrontation on Mount Carmel.

But here is what many people miss: wisdom cannot protect a heart that stops obeying. Solomon knew what was right, yet compromise slowly divided his devotion. Jeroboam’s insecurity created counterfeit worship, and Elijah’s exhaustion after victory showed that even strong servants sometimes need rest and renewal.

Do not let the blessing pull you away from the One who blessed you. Guard your heart, keep the altar burning, and allow obedience to preserve what wisdom helped you build.

“And if thou wilt walk in my ways, to keep my statutes and my commandments…” —1 Kings 3:14 KJV

“The Crown Still Needs the Altar” is the tenth single in our musical journey through all 66 books of the Bible—teaching and encouraging through every lyric.

Second Samuel follows David from the promised crown to the altar of surrender. His life teaches us that promotion does not remove our need for obedience, correction, repentance, and accountability.

If you feel forgotten in a Lo-debar season, remember: your present location is not your final address. God knows your name, and covenant can reach you where people left you.

“Neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the Lord my God of that which doth cost me nothing.” —2 Samuel 24:24 KJV

“God Looks at the Heart” is the ninth single in our journey through all 66 books of the Bible.

First Samuel teaches us that God hears the prayer others misunderstand, calls those people overlook, and values obedience above religious performance. David was left in the field, but the oil could not be poured until he entered the room.

Do not damage your integrity trying to hurry God’s timing. The field may reveal your gift, but the wilderness prepares your character to carry the promise.

“Man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.” —1 Samuel 16:7 KJV

Ruth returned to Bethlehem carrying loss, but God was already arranging redemption. What appeared to be an ordinary field became the place where favor recognized her faithfulness.

You may feel like you are only gathering what life left behind, but do not despise ordinary obedience. God can rebuild your future from the pieces heartbreak left.

“The Lord recompense thy work… under whose wings thou art come to trust.” —Ruth 2:12 KJV

Judges teaches us that temporary relief cannot replace a surrendered heart. God does not only want to remove the pressure, He wants to break the pattern that keeps bringing it back.

Stop naming yourself after where fear found you. Surrender completely, allow God to transform you from within, and learn how to live free.

Courage is not pretending you are never afraid, it is trusting God enough to obey Him while fear is present. Some waters will not move until your feet follow the instruction. Keep His Word before you, take the step, and do not let fear make the decision.

When the prayer becomes the promise, don’t forget the God who made the way. Remain prayerful when your hands are full, keep His Word in your heart, and let every blessing draw you closer to Him—not away from Him.

Your wilderness is not your final destination. Keep trusting God, keep following His presence, and don’t allow fear to turn a temporary season into years of delay. You were counted for this journey, and God is still leading you toward His promise.

“Set Apart to Come Near” is the third single in our musical journey through all 66 books of the Bible—teaching and encouraging through every lyric.

Leviticus teaches us that God did not bring Israel out of bo***ge so they could remain the same. Through sacrifice, priesthood, blood, worship, and consecration, He taught them how to live in His holy presence.

Being set apart is not rejection, it is protection. God is preserving the oil, guarding your assignment, and preparing you to carry what you prayed to receive.

“Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the Lord your God.” —Leviticus 20:7 KJV

Leviticus was the consecration…

But now get ready for Numbers.
