I saw the ChatGPT vintage reseller trend going around Instagram and had to try it for The Quiet Laurel.
The first version I saw was beautiful and so perfectly on brand for her, but it was not exactly us. So this became our version: The Quiet Laurel After Dark.
A MacBook open to estate sale listings, Diet Coke nearby, blue and white bedding, old books, silver, crystal, skincare on the nightstand, packing supplies somewhere they probably should not be, and absolutely no real intention of going to sleep.
The Quiet Laurel is our little vintage shop filled with story-rich finds for a well-gathered home. We love pieces with history, character, and that quiet kind of beauty you cannot really recreate. Old silver, crystal, blue and white, books, art, and sometimes the weird little treasures that make you stop and say, “Wait, what is this and why do I need it?”
The Quiet Laurel is very much something we do together. My husband loves the treasure hunting too, and I could not do this without him. He is part of the searching, the lifting, the deciding, the hauling, and the quiet work that happens before a piece ever makes it to the shop.
He simply prefers to stay peacefully in the background, while I am usually the one overthinking the styling, romanticizing the history, and deciding that one more piece of blue and white is, in fact, completely necessary.
We truly love what we do. The hunting, the curating, the cleaning, the packing, the stories, and the beautiful old things finding new homes.
This is The Quiet Laurel. Slightly romantic, slightly chaotic, occasionally weird, and very much looking up estate sales instead of going to sleep.
