What's that? A letter just for me?

It's been a long time friends, but that's what happens when you suddenly get a full time job and your whole life changes! While we've still been attending shows, we've been really bad about posting on our socials so our new years resolution is: Be better at telling people where you'll be.

So why now start off strong with our first show of the year? We hope to see many of you at MAGFest for our debut January 5-8, 2023!! While we've attended ourselves in this past, this is the first time you can actually buy from us there ✨

"Our dearest customers,

After a year and a half on Etsy and a year of doing conventions every month, I've decided to take a break for the month of July! This is not the end of Squirrel & Grub. More notably this is me working on backstock for Otakon, creating new products, and setting up our own website for you to purchase from!

By 2023, our Etsy will be soley for international orders only. All US domestic orders will be done via our website, www.squirrelandgrub.com, where we are hoping prices will be cheaper too.

To know about the specials we are going to run when we return, sneak peeks of upcoming product, and our show schedule, be sure to follow us on social media! I will definitely be doing more posting during this month so y'all know I'm alive.

Hey everyone, Jessie here.

We are coming up on our one year con-iversary (even though we've already done our first repeat con) and I am tired. Since August of 2021 I've done 15 shows, many of them by myself. Since we just got a last minute acceptance into Otakon, and I have tons and tons of stock to make, I've decided the Etsy will be going on vacation for the entire month of July!

So what does this mean?

• all orders placed before the store goes into vacation mode will still be fulfilled
• our store front should still be visible, so you can still favorite items and share them with your friends
• nothing will be available to purchase the entire month

What changes will you see when we return?

• a revamp to the Etsy
• new listing and cover photos
• maybe even some work on our own website as we try to step away from Etsy in 2023

All this to say I wouldn't be anywhere near this tired if it's wasn't for any of you. Thank you for buying our products, supporting me at the shows, sending friends to come find me and say hi, and being the reason Squirrel & Grub is still going.

I will still make a post on July 1 to announce the Etsy going down, but you've officially been warned!

It's been a while, but to stay silent at a time like this is complacent.

The overturning of Roe is going to destroy lives, including potentially my own. As a woman/queer run business, I have a lot to think about in these upcoming months. We all know they won't stop with abortion rights. Gay marriage, contraception, and our private s*x lives were named in the report that came out today.

Where will I be safe to travel to for cons? Will I have to revert back to cis-het passing? What if I can't afford to travel for an abortion? What if a friend of mine ends their life because they couldn't get one? Or because they tried to do one on their own?

Being pro-choice doesn't mean you have to get an abortion yourself. It means you are allowing others a safe, humane alternative. It means you believe we deserve bodily autonomy.
