CE Class AAA Certification: Verified Protection at the Highest Level
Rewin motorcycle race suits are certified to EN 17092-2:2020 Class AAA, the highest protective classification available under the European EN 17092 standard for motorcycle garments. This certification confirms that the complete suit has been independently tested for critical safety factors, including abrasion resistance, tear strength, seam strength, structural integrity and the suit’s ability to remain securely positioned during an accident.
The protective armour installed in Rewin suits is also separately CE certified under the applicable European standards:
EN 1621-1 for shoulder, elbow, hip and knee protectors
EN 1621-2 for back protectors
EN 1621-3 for chest protectors
The CE mark confirms conformity with European safety requirements, while the AAA classification identifies the suit’s verified level of protective performance.
This is important because not all motorcycle race suits have been independently tested and certified as complete garments. Some manufacturers may use CE-certified armour while the leather, seams, construction and overall suit have not been certified to Class AAA standards. Rewin certification provides riders, racers, dealers and distributors with documented evidence that both the suit and its protective components meet recognised European safety requirements.
For the rider, this means greater confidence in the materials, construction and protective capability of the suit. For retailers and distributors, it provides a clear and credible safety advantage over products that rely only on manufacturer claims or that do not carry equivalent third-party certification.
