It’s our pup-a-versary and Miss Clover is settling right in. She has been showered with new toys and treats and we can’t wait to see what’s next! She probably isn’t a truffle terrier but maybe she’ll turn into an antiques houndšŸ¤£šŸ¤ž

What a pretty day spent catching the light. Lead crystal just feels special…I like carrying a few glass pieces but there is an extra sparkly glow for whatever arrangement you put into a vase like this.

I’m busy pulling together a fun collection for my next event, here’s me hoping you’ll join me 😊

What did I come home with????

Took a quick Saturday trip to in Baltimore and didn’t come home with a dresser but I did come home with a pair of adorable Hitchcock side chairs. I’m sure I have some fabric to replace the seats and with a little cleanup, they’ll be making an appearance at my next pop up with the third one I found last month. I also got some project ideas in my head that need to get cracking on inside, while it’s hot outside, so I can finish them in time for my next sale.

This is my face when I experience the weird of other humans on FB Marketplace. I think I much prefer my interactions with people who acknowledge upfront that it’s a platform filled with people behaving weirdšŸ™„šŸ¤£

Don’t forget, a % of all my sales today will be donated to the society. I’ll be at until 3 😊

The first question I asked myself was, ā€œAm I ready for an actual display case?ā€ The second question was, ā€œWill I ever find a display case this reasonable ever again???ā€

Originally it stood on 4 tall wooden legs that looked dated…just like the red fabric inside. After just a bit of sweat equity, I now have a home for my small wares, lined with a soft chocolate brown corduroy and finished off with some scrollwork metal legs. This is now a tabletop display case.

ps. The answers to my questions are ā€œyesā€ and ā€œdon’t pass it upā€ 🤣🤣🤣

Look at what I found! In this business, the displays can be pretty important especially if you find yourself in a really small market space…so you start to pick up random pieces that will fit almost every pop up situation. This 3-sided acrylic piece fits right into that family and you’ll see it live at my next pop up this Saturday at Dublin Roasters Coffee 😊

See? This is why I love vintage 🤣 I had this ginormous ironstone soup tureen in my collection and I was never going to use it for soup (even though I love soup) so I gave it to my friend Yeon at Whispering Flower Farm and look what she did!

The jewelry boxes belonging to my grandmother and my mother both were filled with sparkling mystery and as a little girl, I would beg to look through them as they were dressing up for an evening out. So, when I found this Lady Buxton box from the 1960s with the satin and velvet still intact, I knew it was coming home to me. On Saturday it will be filled up and you don’t have to ask to go through it 🤣 I’ll be popping up at the yard sale and donating a portion of my net proceeds to the society

Sometimes your shoulder demon wins and you grab something without thinking it through….happens more than I want to admit.

These Haskelite trays are highly collectible in certain circles…just not mine so I am giving them a little upgrade with some pop art. I did keep the bottom of each of them intact so you can see the old manufacturer marks bumping up against the new and my hope is that they will find new homes with people who are going to appreciate them in a different way.

Paper art was very popular in the 1940s and 50s and I’m simply adding some extra layers šŸ˜‰
