THANK YOU, Fredonia Farm Festival! Here are a few of my workshop participants from Saturday’s sessions of Wild Grapevine Wreath Making. Each wreath is as unique as the individuals that made them, which is one of my favorite things about working with wild vine.

There is still space in Saturday’s wild grapevine bird feeder class at Royal Fern Nursery: registration closes on Wednesday! Register online at TreehouseHandcrafts.com.

You know, this scarf would be a lot easier if I had written out a good way to decrease the lace pattern originally designed to increase, instead of deciding to wing it 🤪 no one has more faith in me than myself at the beginning of a project!

Anyway, happy WIP Wednesday. The Pansy Scarf continues!

THIS WEEKEND: come visit me at Fredonia Farm Fest on Saturday and learn how to make your own wild grapevine wreath!!

This make-and-take workshop is FREE and provides everything you need—materials and instruction—so you can go home with your own handmade vine wreath, ready to decorate your way! I included photos here of what you’ll make, and some backyard inspiration I found for decoration.

I’ll be teaching two workshops at the gazebo in the park in Fredonia: first come first serve for eight participants at 3:30 and 4:30. Can’t wait to see you!

I spent all day Thursday down at Warren County Fair in Pittsfield, PA with the draft horse show, but snuck out for a few minutes to take a stroll through the sheep barn and display buildings. Great to see both ends of the process… raw wool and finished knits!

Happy WIP Wednesday! This one is BRIGHT 👀 I thought when I looked at the yarn that this would be a bit of a departure as far as my usual choice of colors, but I’m really enjoying knitting this one up: it’s Basil Bee Fiber in Pansy, and sadly I think the dyer might be a defunct company now. But this is going to be a fun irregular lace and garter triangle scarf, since those have been quite popular recently at my pop-ups!
