Treehouse Handcrafts As a hobby venture, knit items will be available as I have time to produce them. Items will be priced and posted on the page as they are completed.

Treehouse Handcrafts is based in heart of Chautauqua County, NY, marrying both local and global fibers and materials with elevated design in a variety of handmade crafts. If you are interested in purchasing an item, please privately message the page to set up a purchase. A limited number of select items may be available from time to time at local business in Alfred. Custom orders: if you have a special request, please privately message the page to set up details. "BYOY": bring your own yarn. For a flat rate of $15/project, you provide the yarn and I will create your desired product. I keep a maximum of three projects going at once--thanks for your appreciation and patience! WIP Wednesday: I stared at my four-quart basket of cotton for a long time the other day and decided it was time to KNIT IT ALL!

I’m knitting up every bit of cotton yarn I have for dish scrubbers: these fun colors and patterns will be bundled in three-packs and available at all of my holiday markets… while supplies last. After these are gone, I’m going to be focusing on wearable accessories and garments exclusively for my knits!

Sweater Sunday! Looking back at last week’s post, I’m shocked how much I accomplished this weekend. I made it through the arm hole bind offs today, and got far enough along to have my husband “model” it!

I’m going to continue to fret about the sizing right up until this sweater is blocked and worn but I’m happy at least to have some real visible progress to share.

Whoops, the week got away from me before I got the chance to post a Finished Makes Friday… so enjoy that on a Saturday instead! I love seeing all of these Scandi earwarmers laid out together: the colors are delightful!

Sweater Sunday! I made good progress, thanks in part to it being a three-day weekend meaning I could put off a few garden tasks until tomorrow and spend the damp part of this morning inside 😅 obviously still a long way to go but it’s fun to be into the cable work on this seamed sweater!

Getting back to the rest of my custom order again this week, and then my weekday knitting will be dedicated to colorwork again for a full slate of shows in November and December: watch this space for a schedule soon!

I love making, don’t like modeling 😂 but the Indigo Leaves Shrug is as fun to wear as it was to knit! The shrug is the perfect accessory when you need a cover-up layer with a cozy sleeve, but not a full-size cardigan.

This one is LOCAL! Knit up in merino from Little Bear Creek Alpacas in Kane, PA; purchased through Tybout House in Warren, PA.

WIP Wednesday: I can’t show you any photos of what I’m working on right now as it’s a private custom order… but here are the two cozy caps I did for the same customer earlier this summer!

I’ve been thinking about whether or not to offer customs again this winter, and have decided that they will NOT be on the table for 2027 to allow me to fully focus on some other projects I want to develop.
