“We have a 911 situation” turned into “It’s perfect” when a bridal chain location closed and didn’t properly alter this bride’s gown. It came to me with sleeves added from another dress that were attached with minimal stitching and poorly placed. It left with the sleeves repositioned, bodice filled in and blended to match existing appliqué, modesty panel replaced and closure reinforced with loop & button.

All alterations were completed in a manner that maintained the original construction of the gown in the event it needs to be restored or repurposed.

Lace, lace and more lace….This bodice needed a little nip and tuck in neckline and the back to remove some puckering. Since it is covered in appliqué, I removed the details, added the necessary tucks and reattached the appliqué. Skirt was shortened 8” in the front and the gorgeous train bustled with seven points.

It saddens me to share that I am no longer accepting new appointments for alterations. I will reopen my schedule later this fall once the summer wedding rush subsides.
