Grab whatever you have around the house and make up your own events. The sillier, the better! Bonus points if the adults join in (and probably lose to the kids 😉).

Chalk creations 🏰

☀️ BAM Summer – Day 5: Sunset Picnic Night

✨ Today’s BAM Summer Challenge: Sunset Picnic! ✨

You don’t have to travel far to make summer feel special.

Pack whatever you already have in the kitchen, grab a blanket, and head to your backyard, a local park, or anywhere you can watch the sun go down. Our favorite place for a picnic is usually the living room floor! 😅😅

🍉 Sandwiches.
🍓 Fruit.
🥨 Chips.
🧃 Juice boxes.
💛 Good conversation.

Leave the phones in the bag for a little while and play “Would You Rather,” tell funny stories, or simply watch the sky change colors together.

The best summer memories usually aren’t the expensive ones—they’re the ones where everyone slows down long enough to enjoy each other.

You don’t have to spend hundreds of dollars or drive hours away to make summer magical.

This week, challenge your family to be tourists in your own town! ❤️

Visit a place you’ve never stopped to explore:
🌳 A local park
🎣 A fishing spot
🍦 A sno-come stand
🏛️ A small museum or historical site
🛍️ A downtown boutique you’ve always meant to visit
📸 Or simply take a walk around your town and snap fun family photos.

Sometimes the best adventures are hiding just a few miles from home.

Bonus BAM: Let each child pick one book they’re excited to read and one book YOU choose to read together. Those bedtime stories become some of the sweetest summer memories. ❤️

Today’s challenge: Turn your backyard into a mini water park! 💦

✨ Hook up the sprinkler.
✨ Fill up some water balloons.
✨ Grab a bucket and a few cups for a “fill the bucket” race.
✨ End the day with popsicles on the porch.

The kids won’t remember how much money you spent…
They’ll remember that you were there. ❤️
