“How do you measure gauge on lace?” Hello my friends! Easing back on over here to talk about a question I often get about lace gauge. The issue is the yarnovers! They’re never the same size as other stitches, so after blocking, I measure each motif (in inches or cm). I then divide the measurement by the number of stitches in the motif. Last, I multiply it by 4 (to get my gauge in inches) or 10 (to get my gauge in cm). This works for rows too! It gives a much more accurate read than just a straight-up measurement. The larger lace weight one pictured here is Gathering Waters, and the smaller fi*****ng weight one (I’ll post it later!) is Rising Tides. They’re both built from dot and wave motifs. The idea behind this year’s club is that everyone is welcome! There’s the larger more complicated option, and the smaller simpler option based on the same motif. The yarn is by Marianated Yarns who dyed such a gorgeous true blue! Although the shipment options are sold out, the pattern only option is still available on Ravelry and designsbyromi.com 🧶

Hello my friends! Here’s how I deal with long floats in slip stitch knitting where you’re using only one color at a time and it’s impossible to trap them with the contrast color as you knit!
