Carol's Western Wear We Proudly *SERVED* Maryland, DC, Virginia, and Delaware since 1962. In October of 2019, we permanently closed. Those were wild days.

Carol's Western Wear, was a family run business from 1962 until 2019. We were the #1 Dealer in Maryland, Washington, and Delaware, of Justin, Tony Lama, Nocona, and Lucchese Cowboy and Cowgirl Boots. As well as Maryland's #1 Dealer of Stetson Cowboy Hats, wonderful Johnson and Held buckles, Montana Silversmiths buckles, and Wrangler jeans! We carried a full selection of Western Clothing, and all s

orts of gifts and accessories. Carol's Western Wear was proud to provide you with cowboy apparel that can be worn in the city, the country or wherever you like. We had an enormous amount of Cowboy hats, boots and clothing. Please come visit us in person at our Glen Burnie Location, right after you build a time machine and travel back to pre-Columbus Day 2019. I recommend visiting us during the Line Dancing craze of the 90s. Or, visit us in 1968, when just about everything we sold was made in the USA, and made well!

I have sad news to share with the Carol’s Western Wear family. Miss Yvonne passed away on March 10.
Miss Yvonne was our bookkeeper for nearly 50 years and was essential to the operations of the store. Mr. Bob always told her he could not run the store without her, and would not want to. She was universally known as the kindest woman on the planet. We loved her tremendously.
In this photo, Miss Yvonne and Mr. Bob in October 2019.
Our heartfelt condolences to her husband Don, the kindest man on the planet, and to her family.

The family and friends of Bob Chance are saddened to say that Bob passed away on June 29, 2022 after a year-long battle with an aggressive bladder cancer.
Bob worked with his dad at the family business, Carol’s Western Wear, until its close due to his father’s ill health. He enjoyed meeting new people, reconnecting with friends, and sharing his knowledge. He encouraged people to shop local, supporting the small business community. He advocated for a stronger tie between manufacturers and the brick-and-mortar stores. While running Carol’s Western Wear, he volunteered with Maryland Therapeutic Riding, which became a passionate pet project.
There will be a viewing at Barranco Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, Maryland 21146 from 11-12 followed by a memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made to Maryland Therapeutic Riding in his name online or at 1141 Sunrise Beach Rd., Crownsville, MD 21032.
