Heavenly Father, we thank You for the United States of America. We thank You for the gift of life, liberty, opportunity, and national freedom. We thank You for the generations before now who labored, sacrificed, served, fought, prayed, and gave their lives so that many could enjoy the blessings of freedom today.
Lord, we do not take this nation for granted. We recognize that every good and perfect gift comes from You. We thank You for the families, communities, churches, schools, businesses, leaders, workers, and citizens that make up this nation. We thank You for the beauty of the land, the diversity of its people, and the many opportunities that have been made available to millions.
Father, on this Independence Day, let gratitude rise above complaint. Let thanksgiving rise above fear. Let remembrance rise above pride. Let the hearts of the people be drawn to You again.
Thank You for preserving America through seasons of war, economic difficulty, national tragedy, social unrest, disease, uncertainty, and political tension. Thank You because, despite many challenges, Your mercy has continued to speak over the land.
Lord, let this 4th of July be more than a celebration of history. Let it become a moment of spiritual reflection. Let families remember that freedom is a gift. Let leaders remember that leadership is a trust. Let churches remember that intercession is a duty. Let citizens remember that righteousness exalts a nation.
