I'm excited to share this rare Gilbert Valentin (1928–2001) ceramic tile plaque titled "Les Echanges", now available in my Etsy shop. Created in Vallauris, France, this beautifully sculpted ceramic art tile depicts a stylized queen engaged in an intriguing exchange with a chess-inspired Rook figure—a composition that is both playful and thought-provoking. The pattern is called "Passata di Pesce" or "Passage of Fish" and is referenced and illustrated in the book by Patrick Mauriès, called "Fornasetti: Designer of Dreams".
